If up till now all the project I am seeing here is Obiano’s project… just know Soludo is sleeping… After calling Obiano a drunk his project still features. What is that big project Soludo is handling? Obiano took on the Airport and it’s roads, ICC and bridges which one is soludo doing in that magnitude? The Governors Norm usually is to show strong construction works in first tenures mostly and relax on the second tenure, going by this Soludo did nothing… By the second tenure is nothing continues. If you come against me … our state will suffer for it because we should always be brave to say the truth, we need more infrastructure like how we were seeing at obiano’s time. Soludo should follow-up on those frauds on onitsha port and expose those thieves by now our ports should be working or they should showing us developments towards it but nothing. Honestly I am disappointed with Soludo … you all should say the truth we are not seeing infrastructural projects and investments like obiano’s era we should talk oooo… as for me … I will say it boldly. 6 Likes |

Armon: I am begining to think that Soludo is being held captive by the very machinery that brought him to power.....APGA and its pot bellied chieftains....( the same demons that hounded Peter Obi out of APGA)! Who are these people behind these 2 for a penny contracting firms that Soludo awarded contracts to? some of these funny road contracts are less than 2 km in length..and Soludo was just sharing the contracts like crayfish to his party! Who are the characters that won the revenue generation contracts? I am yet to believe soludo has fully emencipated himself from these party goons..........or is he busy feathering his own nest? Why the massive road contracts all over Awka and the Nnewi is barely mentioned in contract awards! na wao ! 2 Likes |

Abufo: You people are never tired of conspiracy theories and conjectures. APGA isn’t holding Soludo back. Soludo is trying his best to prioritize the resources for the maximum impact. He understands that doing just one road using a multinational construction company does not even make a dent on the massive problem of poor roads all over the state. For people saying Soludo isn’t building an airport or a showpiece infrastructure like Obiano. As much as airports are important developmental infrastructure, You should understand that what got our cities into looking like piggeries was decades of neglect to do inter LGA roads rather than urban renewal. Peter Obi understood that education was the bedrock of development and pursued that priority. He also did some work in health. Obiano focused on giving Anambra the advantage of accessibility by air and creation of infrastructure such as hotels, conference centers or malls to help Anambra host big ticket events successfully. Like Dr. Alex Otti who understood the importance of livable cities, especially a thriving Aba city to the overall development of Abia state. Soludo is right to focus on urban renewal and finally making Anambra cities some of the best habitable cities in the country. If Soludo succeeds in bringing law and order and transforming Onitsha, Awka, Nnewi, Ekwulobia and Aguleri into thriving urban centers, his achievements would be the most impactful in driving economic development of the state and making it a key investment destination in Nigeria. I remember when Rotimi Amaechi was demolishing shanties and dualizing key roads in Port Harcourt. People also criticized his work because they didn’t understand the importance and the link between having a decent city to attracting investors. Unfortunately for Soludo he is doing the heavy lifting of repositioning Anambra cities at a time of near economic collapse. In his reluctance to raise taxes or massively borrow, he will have to continue finding ingenious ways by focusing on a batch of high priority roads and then stretching the available resources to complete them before taking on another batch of roads. Clearly Soludo has a plan and he is trying to judiciously use available resources without resorting to massive borrowing. 10 Likes |
