Before he joined the 40-year-old whiskey-drinking ashoebi group called G5, Gov Seyi Makinde was an excellent man, whose judgment and character were first-class in all ramifications. His words and personality commanded huge respect within and outside the party, old and young saw Makinde as the future until he started mixing up with the Ikpeazu's and the Ortom's of this world........ Now he is talking like them.


No wonder the Bible says in Corinthians 15:33 that "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners"



The claim by Makinde that H.E Atiku Abubakar did not show concern or commiserate with the people of the state over the recent explosion in Ibadan, the state capital is not only false but a misrepresentation of facts.

It is surprising the Makinde who looks for every flimsy and useless excuse to avoid Atiku even when the former Vice President is within his own state is suddenly looking for imaginary phone calls or text messages

For the records Atiku, was one of the first Nigerians to commiserate with the Oyo State government which Makinde heads, and people of the state over the sad incident. His well-circulated message on the 17th of January (See Time Stamp) is reproduced below:



"I wish to express my condolences to the good people and government of Oyo State over the explosion that rocked the capital city of Ibadan late yesterday night. 

While the government continues to provide humanitarian support to victims of the explosion, I commiserate with the families of those who might have lost their lives and property to the explosion. -AA"

As young people in the party, we do not want to carry on with the politics of bitterness, our goal is to pick up the pieces of the party shattered by Makinde and his gang and look up to God to help us salvage our country from the vultures that are currently devouring her.

So instead of looking for a text from a phone number he has deleted, Makinde should focus on providing succor for the affected community who are already bearing the burden of Tinubunomics the catastrophic leadership that is wreaking havoc across the length and breadth of our country.

By the way, it would be hard for HE Atiku to forgive any of the G5 Govs, they did him dirty. Even if Atiku had offered to pay him a commiserations visit, would the Gov have honoured it?
So Gov Makinde should look for commiserations somewhere else.

The people of Oyo should better be ready for APC regime after Makinde. BAd governance go touch everybody. You see how APC retrogressed Osun and Ekiti State lol.
