THE ONLY WAY FORWARD IS “MANUAL TRANSMISSION”. It had been clearly established by the various election petition court judgements that:I just hope this write-up wouldn't be misunderstood by the readers. Have a nice day.

There is another election coming up on Saturday (3rd February, 2024).. In reality,, most of the Nigerian Voters have totally lost trust and hope in the whole election and voting processes.. The political parties are now busy gathering money with which to rig the election,, since it now seems to be that the smartest rigger wins, and that nothing can be done again about whoever that wins by any means at-all.. BUT HERE I AM, STILL SCREAMING THAT THERE IS STILL HOPE LEFT,, IF ONLY WE DO THE RIGHT THINGS BY OURSELVES,, AND THEN FORCE THE INEC TO DO THE RIGHT THINGS TOO, EVEN WHEN THEY DON'T WANT TO.. It only involves some more extra efforts by the voters (THE PEOPLE) and the opposition political parties who think that they are at the disadvantaged position in the election. THE TRUE BEAUTY OF DEMOCRACY IS THE EXTRA UNRELENTING EFFORTS OF THE PEOPLE AND THOSE OF THE OPPOSITION PARTIES. BUT THE WHEN THE PEOPLE AND THE OPPOSITION PARTIES ARE WEAK, THAT IS THE DEFEAT AND DEMISE OF DEMOCRACY. |

. I am not giving up yet on the Electoral-Act-2022.. I believe that the court judgements just gave the National-Assembly-Members the clear directions towards which they should go in amending the current Electoral-Act. The court judgements didn't render the Electoral-Act useless after-all. |

BluntCrazeMan: NO COLLATION FOR ANY POLLING-UNIT CAN COMMENCE AT ANY FIRST-LEVEL COLLATION CENTER (THAT-IS, THE WARD COLLATION CENTER) UNTIL THE NUMBER OF ACCREDITED VOTERS THAT WAS WRITTEN ON THE RESULTS-SHEETS GETS VERIFIED AND CONFIRMED WITH THE NUMBER OF ACCREDITED VOTERS THAT WAS CAPTURED IN THE BVAS-MACHINES THAT WERE USE AT THE POLLING-UNIT IN QUESTION..This is already embedded in the Electoral Law and already takes place. AND ALSO, ANY COLLATION EXERCISE FOR ANY POLLING-UNIT THAT STARTS OFF AT ANY COLLATION CENTER WITHOUT THE PRIOR VERIFICATION AND CONFIRMATION OF THE ACCREDITATION-DATA FOR THAT POLLING-UNIT IS NULL-AND-VOID.This also depends on Party agents. All in all, the way out here is to yank IReV out of the Manual Guidelines & Regulations and introduce same into the Electoral Act. However, there must be another option because someone can just take out the IReV like it happened in the last Presidential Election and chorus technical glitch, it becomes a problem. Political parties should start educating their Party Agents. |

Nigeria defies every form of logic. BVAS is not the issue. We have a criminally propelled INEC which is now an arm of APC. Look at the 2023 election. A crime orchestrated by Mahmoud and his hench men. You can NEVER have a credible election in Nigeria. Not now that APC has appointed its member as electoral commissioners ![]() Enjoy the madness till you’re ready to get out of cowardice and mobilize 25% of Nigerians and replicate what happened in Sri Lanka. |

fergie001:It is embedded in the Electoral-Act quite-alright,, it is not being practiced.. For instance,, how can the verification and confirmation of the accredited voters be practiced in a situation where the party-agents of some other parties are forcefully excluded from the ward-collation-centers?? This also depends on Party agents. This is why I am trying to urge the political parties and their party-agents to wake up and start doing more. There are things the parties and their agents are supposed to be doing, which they are not currently doing, and it is seriously affecting them. All in all, the way out here is to yank IReV out of the Manual Guidelines & Regulations and introduce same into the Electoral Act.I support this one too. However, there must be another option because someone can just take out the IReV like it happened in the last Presidential Election and chorus technical glitch, it becomes a problem. This is the right time to even start all-over afresh to educate the political parties (all of them), on the best approach towards the Nigerian Elections. It is time to say “Enough-Is-Enough” to all the laxity which the political parties and their agents are exhibiting. |

They have to make IREV mandatory as well as independent collation like its done in the US. CNN can project winners based on results from county levels fergie001: |

The goal post in Nigerian elections are not static, they are dynamic depending on factors prevailing on the judgement day. It's because we allow such loopholes to occur at the courts.[/quote]We do you want us to do? Take to the streets? I think that will only be a temporal solution. The division in Nigeria is politician strongest weapon and he will continue to exploit it. Some people are on retainer here to white wash the government, others think that governance is ok because their brother is the one looting, the Nigerian masses have lost a sense of right or wrong. So any protest will always be skewed even with the best intentions. |

OP is on the same side as I am. Except for Yakubu or whatever his name wants to end as Humphrey Nwosu IBB used for his evil agenda, he should do this sh.t he did in the last election. The reason I wasn't concerned was that all the candidates took advantage of the porous system (Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, and Kwankwaso) all rigged at their places. So, the best rigger won the election. This time, let us see a real election and then, we can have good people come into the game. This is just my concern. I want to see riggers (good people will still not contest in 2027), come together again, but let us see the real winner among the riggers. When good people see that the voting system is almost perfect, they will join in 2031. If Yakubu plays this stunt again, the curses of the masses will make him another Humphrey Nwosu. |

Let me help you people The way forward: -- Automate the whole voting process -- No manual injection of whatsoever data into the voting machine except during the real time accreditation process. -- the voting machine should be chipped for automatic transfer and counting of votes from the voting machine into the counting device in real-time. -- no online vote transmission to avoid server glitches, cyber security concerns, network issues or other excuses. -- after the voting process, the voting devices should be traported immediately to a secure and fortified central location with each party represented, vote automatically counted in real-time and on live TV streaming. -- during counting, switch on the voting machine, bring it close to the counting machine, it will automatically read the votes and count them within a second. -- on no account should anyone know the results at the polling stations. Infact all inec field staff should be denied the privilege of knowing the results in the polling stations -- close all loopholes that may lead to manipulation -- all inec officials must adhere to vote starting and closing time -- there should be enough machines and voters allocated to machines according to timing -- lawyers shall be hungry post election as everyone will be satisfied |

DMerciful:So, why didn't the political parties wake up early enough and ensured that the FULL PROCEDURES FOR THE MANUAL PROCESS WERE STRICTLY ADHERED TO.?? Whose fault was it that the full “Manual Transmission” methods were not adhered to,, and whose fault was it that the non-adherence to the stipulated procedures for the collation of results were not even questioned by any of the opposition partiy at the election petition tribunal? |
