Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano, says he did not sign any agreement with the presidency to influence the judgment of the supreme court.

On January 12, the apex court set aside the judgment of the appeal court that sacked Yusuf as the governor of Kano.

In a statement on Monday, Sanusi Bature, spokesperson to the Kano governor, said the judgment was delivered with “equity and fairness”.

Although he did not mention the kind of agreement, there were rumours that defecting to the All Preogressives Congress (APC) was a pre-condition to securing a favourable verdict at the supreme court.

“Our attention has been drawn to a misconception making rounds on social media indicating an agreement between the presidency and governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the aftermath of the supreme court judgment that affirmed the mandate of his excellency,” the statement reads.

“I wish to categorically state that Governor Yusuf did not enter any agreement or condition with anybody before the supreme court judgment. I therefore urged the public to dismiss the fallacy being orchestrated by enemies of progress.

‘It is on record that my lord, the justices of the supreme court delivered a landmark Judgment with justice, equity and fairness and largely protect the integrity of the judiciary. “

The governor also expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for allowing the level playing ground for justice to prevail through non-interference with the judicial process.

“The president is a true democrat who will not undermine other political parties in the interest of his party,” he said.

“Let me state and emphatically that Governor Yusuf has no prior agreement with the president.

“However, the president should rather be appreciated for maintaining neutrality, peace, and stability in Kano.

“No doubt, the refusal of the president to carry out the wishes of some prominent members of his party has brought about enduring atmosphere in Kano.

“On this single act, the good people of Kano will continue to appreciate Mr. President and pray for him to succeed in his administration.”

“The governor had several opportunities to meet the president in all of his visits, and the discussions are centred around the development of Kano state.”

Sadly, this confirms the speculation that the supreme court is indeed a part of the presidency.

The point most people are not getting. The Supreme Court is the most rubbished institution in this country.

When a politician wins a litigation and they go to the president to thank him, they are by other means announcing that the president is the owner of the Supreme Court, that they can and will only do what he wants.

Just imagine what the supreme court has turned into.........

He didn't say he did not have any agreement.

He said he didn't have a defection agreement.

The judiciary is one of the major problems of this country..... 🤦🤦🤦🤦

These northern Muslim governors know
that they way to confuse and bring all
the peasant, talakawa people to you is
to be forming holy☪️☪️☪️, therefore
everywhere this governor goes, you
see him with the Muslim rosary or tasbih .

This is what the type of mentality first governor of Zamfara, Yerima used to
bring the masses to himself and bring
Shari'a to his state which eventually turned
his state into the most dangerous, bandits
infested state in Nigeria.

Make him kwantiniyu ❗️❗️❗️

Must there be a press release over llegality?
A sane govt will never talk about issues that is baseless.
That means Kano state govt is indirectly telling us that Supreme Court judgement can be influenced by the Presidency.

Yes oh. Especially when pandora pathological liar Obi denied that he was the one on the YES DADDY RELIGIOUS WAR tape.
We are still waiting for the Agulu fraudster to sue Gazzett, as he claimed he would do almost a year ago.
Even when it was too obvious that it was him, the lying MOFO still lied, just imagine if it was something that wasn't as obvious as that.
