They detained a lady that accused military officials of sexual harrasment and non-payment of salaries. Who in his right senses detains a victim?

I think detaining the lady is in order. It sounds like she is trying to use her gender to gain advantage over her male colleagues. She knew what she was signing up for and complaints are meant to be dealt with internally not coming on social media to seek for public support cry

Which support. Dem dey owe am 1 year abi na lie?

She got evidence according to am. Walai. Make that evidence dem dey commot like Season film.

You must be one those randy men that takes advantage of vulnerable girls under them. Otherwise why would you be supporting such wrong. If she's your sister would you say this rubbish. For the young lady to come out open suggest that the internal system is compromised and she feared she would never get justice rather sanctions if she reports to the authority.

I'm in serious shock as to why most people on Nairaland fail to see the need for her protective custody (detention). It's for her own good as this makes the NA officially responsible for her safety and well-being. Imagine the investigation continues and the three senior officers accused become alarmed and worried about their careers....

Harassing her sexually, and refusal to pay her salary for months is also in order.
Are you alright?? So because she’s a female, she should be treated like an outcast.
Interesting !!!!

Instead of suspending both the accuser and the accused for a detailed investigation, they instead detained the lady. That's why 700 abians refused to join recruit.

Have the senior officers been suspended from duty pending the outcome of the investigation? Also of the army is on top of it killing her would only raise eye brows and confirm suspicion. Your logic is not correct

Just look at rubbish!
What concerns chief of Army staff with people's comments on scandals?
Bandits and kidnappers are roaming everywhere killing people and bringing sadness to families, yet this id1ot is only concerned about irrelevant issues.

God please what did we do to deserve this kind of country?
Please divide this country for us so that we can have a little peace of mind. 🙏

This is the army not civies. They would conduct an investigation, given she made claims her safety can't be guaranteed what had been don by the COAS is the best because now she can't be harassed by the individual she has accused while under the protection of the COAS.

Nothing new here it's standard operation.

Didn’t you hear when she was saying that she reported to matter to the appropriate channels but nothing was done rather she was told to keep quiet? How about the blocking of her salary accounts for months? Would you say this if it was your female relative?

I can assure you that while she was still under the command of the same people she accused any attempt to report would have been circumvented. Didn't she say she was remanded in a psych ward and her pay retained.

Now she's out of their sight and grasp

Many don't even understand the structure of the army globally and the reporting system, the Irish army is currently dealing with allegations of sexual harassment going back over 2 decades, the British army had some major allegations last year and the Americas too, those are the ones I can speak of that I know of publicly which have had a public enquiry done.

The day my current wife was going for airforce screeening (then) my fiancee, i just tell her say if yiu get this job which i am praying for you to, relationship has ended.

Truth be told, if your wife is military woman wotoporiously she dey collect otherwise no promotion, if she come fine just forget na OGA food be that, as an insider i can tell you this, that is one of the reason only few of them marry themselves. well like i said on this forum the last time only God can save her, Nigerian army i know will kill that case.
