Russia is also in no shape to fight with the US, they are too occupied in Ukraine, US military bases would be handy.

The Iran/Hamas, Iraq, N.Korea, would be on the defensive all through the hypothetical war.

The chance of an all out war is slim. I doubt China would fall for the same provocations tht Russia fell for.

But fair chance for the US, that is bar a nuclear conflict. The wild card however would be China.

N.Korea's military is obsolete. It poses no threat to the US or her interests. There's Democracy is S.Korea. In the Int'l arena N.Korea is more like a child.

What's the percentage of those moving Russia would need to develop those areas first and that would take years. At the moment most of Russias funds are going to the war. The weather in those areas are extreme. There are reasons people choose not to stay there in the first instance.

In the context I was using it, is in direct conflict, In any conflict N.Korea isn't a threat to the US. the US would stomp on them.

The context in the link you share is if N.Korea is able to develop it's nuclear programme. For the totalitarian regimes N.Korea operate having nukes would make it a threat to the world as it would be in the control of just one individual. and an unstable individual at that.
