Peter Obi i know would have removed corruption and reveal the actual price of petroleum before removing fuel subsidy not like Tinubu who carelessly throw Nigeria into confusion with his careless talk. if you don't plan to succeed you plan to fail

Like he was transparent with ONITSHA fake monorail MOU

Like he never vowed he would not leave APGA to PDP to LP

The was you people overrated and white wash obi can make God to he hungry enough not to make him president self

Nothing unexpected.

All the top candidates said they would remove subsidy.

One even said he would remove it immediately and also float the Naira.

The result is upon us.

The only problem is that many do not want to suffer under a President that was not their own candidate. If it was their own candidate, they would be willing to bear the pain that will bring gain in the future.

So that is exactly how Tinubu supporters are feeling.

So let the hypocrites continue criticising, all na partisan politics.

what kind of gain will come out of This great Tinubulation..

There's no hope in sight
the future is bleak
Tinubu is in France..

Which other candidate would have abandoned the country and be frolicking in France at This time..

With Tinubu... Nigeria is dead

Peter Obi would have cut cost to cushion the effect, that is the difference between him and Tinubu

Can't be more proud of my president. He warned you before it will be tough but you thought he was joking. Trust the process. Things are getting better. Elo fokan bale.

Well said, after all the rot that set in with previous government's, in order to turn the ship the right way, there must be some pain and turbulence along the way. That is the stark reality on the ground.

There is a reason why people are still voting APC despite the tougher conditions, they fully understand that.

Only lazy Obidients who are only good at insulting and abusing people on Social media expect things to just start getter better just like that.

No wonder their party base is shrinking, people now know see them for what they truly are. Unreformed bitter tribalistic bullies whose sole delight is in other people's suffering.

No! will never be too ashamed to speak the truth about what Nigeria could be and what Nigeria is.

Regardless of any partisan considerations for supporting Bola Tinubu, it is my expectation that he will make bold decisions and deliver for the sake of the country.

What irks me is that the leadership continue to trivialise the economic situation of the country when it concerns their own benefit, then pass on the burden to the most economically endangered citizens.

I am of the opinion that the Executive and Legislature could have cut down on the waste that seem to be normal expenditure for them, considering the economic struggles of the country, but they did not or did some after much public disapproval.

I have never expected things to be easy for whoever took over power in 2023. There is no magic that any candidate could have done within the 1st year, to keep things that were terribly bad from being worse, except to borrow the future of Nigeria just to keep an uneasy peace.

If your people are mourning, atleast have the commonsense even if you lack the decency, to appear like you are mourning also.

To push through economic reforms have never been easy.

I certainly hope that their is gain to come after the pain, but only to be enjoyed by those who survive the great tinubulation.

Actually thought you're an ediot, so all the foolishness you spew on Nairaland is partisan politics to defend the indefensible? You should quit the zonebee work and channel your energy into productive ventures than defend crooks.

I’m still his fan. It takes time for things to work.

Is he right to remove subsidy? Yes

Is he right to harmonise exchange rate? Yes.

Naira’s fall against dollars is good for exports. If government can facilitate export, Nigeria can be on to good things!!

How can they facilitate export? Make means of production cheaper. Work on power, fix the ports and ease movement of goods out of Nigeria, create storage facilities for farmers across Nigeria. Bountiful agricultural products can be exported easily.
Invest massively in education and training as well.
Extend railways to all Nigerians. Goods and services can flow to and fro from ports.
Recruit more people into the forces and pay them handsomely with augmented training.
If they aren’t paid handsomely, they would collect bribes and join lucrative criminal activities like kidnapping and banditry.
That was your Tinubu campaign promises, you already knew the outcome

If u think this tinubu, one of d most corrupt politicians in Nigeria will fix dis country,

Den you're dumber than a pole.

A man who's part of d problems Nigeria is facing turns out to b ur Messiah.

D money he claimed to have saved from subsidy, what has he done with it?

Definitely relooted with his cronies.

He said he gave palliatives, to who exactly?

At least one thief of a minister was caught, what about d others we didn't hear about.

But the same guy also talked about moving Nigeria from CONSUMPTION TO PRODUCTION.

But Tinubu ignored the CONSUMPTION TO PRODUCTION bit and headed straight for floating the naira.

Peter Obi said it many times that once the economy becomes production-based, the naira will not depreciate once it is floated.
