The Grammy awards 2024 has been held and No Nigerian won in any of the categories. What might have happened? Well, Do you all remember when Burna Boy told the international community that "Afrobeat is nothing" So, how do you expect the Grammy organizers to give awards to Nigerian artist that sings "nothing"

Burner Boy was all over the internet celebrating the Grammy he won singing absolute "nothing" and couldn't just keep his mouth shut so that others too can win their Grammy after singing "nothing".

Read about the history of The Grammy Awards. How many Asians, Europeans or Australians do you see going crazy about it? It is an American award. They have their own struggles and began Grammy. You should not be happy that they are creating a segment for Africans. That is an insult to African music but if you know where the money goes you will know why they created that segment to own the production and distribution of music. This is IP and a lot of our folks don t understand the economics of these events and the music industry. No one is giving you awards because they love you, it is just expanding the market to make sure AMERICA owns it. And if you know America sees what it has as global even their football is world cup. thanks to FIFA for not allowing that.

Burna can give his opinion but the industry has existed before burna was born and it will go on after he leaves. Is it not this same Grammy Kanye took the mic and gave the award to another person with his mouth? You guys should stop lapping up to foreign content and own your own
