Since neighboring countries are coming to buy food from us , we should not discourage it, it opens Nigeria to become the food basket of west Africa. It's an opportunity in the horizon, think outside the box. China did the same in the 70s ,they devalued their currency. It's an opportunity to look into agriculture to feed west Africa all coming from Nigeria

Let's all go into agriculture

Our major problem is Fulani herdsmen. They put Nigeria in this mess. Local people are scared of going to their farms.

In some places in the north, you must pay fine to terrorists before you farm. Else they kill you. The government isn't taking insecurity seriously.

I also know someone who has to pay for protection for his farm. And now they have issues because it was destroyed.

That you have come to no harm, does not mean no other farmer have been attacked by herdsmen, kidnappers and bandits in Nigeria.

Why hasn't State governors and the FG refuted reports of farmers fearing going to their farms or those taxed by bandits before they can harvest their farm produce?

It's very true. For several years, I kept asking the yam seller I always buy yam from why tubers of yam were costly; she buys yam from Benue.

She would categorically complain to me that the people she buys from have stopped going to their farms because they are scared of the herders. What is happening in Nigeria has nothing to do with the media; widespread insecurity caused this mess.

Agatu and some other interior villages in Benue
Try enter Southern Kaduna.
Or even Mangu, Bokkos in Plateau....

Another brainless one. What have i been saying all along ? Isnt it that not the entire country is under issues with herdsmen and as such these concerns shouldnt be an excuse ?

FG should invest massively in Mechanised farming, This is an opportunity to gain from exports.
