All shitty teams.

Equitorial Guinea would beat all of them.

The only time we can actually know is if they both could meet during world cup.
But I would put my money on these Asian countries than the african countries.

none of the teams u mentioned are in the final of this year Asia cup. Teams like Qatar, Iran, even Jordan can beat those teams. There is also Australia that plays in Asia.
It's a fluke.

Look at the consistent performance of Asian teams on the global stage over the years.

Only Japan and South Korea stand out.

Even among notable players in the world- only those two countries can boost of some good names.

Australia did better than those two in the last world cup thou. Most of this Asia teams are just coming up thou especially the Islamic states that are trying to improve. I also think Iran is no joke too.

Unless the Asian teams are Japan or South Korea, then you would be wasting your money.

It seems we have forgotten that Morocco got to the semi finals of the world cup.

The same Morocco that has crashed out of AFCON without even getting to the semis.

Without sentiments

The uefa champions league.: The club sides there would destroy any national team.
The investment is also very high too

Euros: The highest concentration of best national teams in the world.
It's also highly unpredictable.

COPA: Has a parade of some of the world's best stars, but then you already know it would be won by either Brazil , Argentina or Uruguay.

AFCON: Highly unpredictable, and has a decent level of football with some decent teams, but the vast majority of the teams are mediocre.

ASIAN CUP: shitty teams all around apart from Japan and South Korea.

The thread title says, which of the trophies that’s hardest to win.

UEFA/champion league teams benefit from the input of foreigners but this isn’t about UEFA which is competed by club sides.

In Euro cup…big teams are Germany, Spain, England, France, Portugal and maybe Belgium, Denmark, Norway.

AFCON is highly unpredictable amongst Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco from North Africa and down the subsahara, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mali, Cameroon, South Africa and then Guinea, Burkina Fasso, DRC, Zambia….any of these teams can win the trophy.

AFCON in my opinion is the hardest if you are not comparing the countries with South America and Europe and instead focus on the competing nations.

Asian cup standard is low and that justifies why we have few of them in top 50 ranking

But tough 👌👌.

AFCON is the most difficult (and sweetest too) to win. Too many countries are good enough to win it unlike in the other competitions listed where you can easily predict the final four before a ball is kicked.
How did you come to this conclusion?

Copa America and afcon

Messi spent all most his entire life trying to win copa America.
When it comes to afcon all this small small African team will be pulling weight anyhow!
Imagine the come back ivory coast did this tournament
Last last all these tournaments especially in the case of AFCON, Copa, Euros will still be won by the top countries.
Apart from Zambia in 2013 and Greece in 04, the top countries will always win these tournaments.

You don't watch copa niyen. Do you know that as great as maradona, Ronaldo, caniggia, batistuta and crespo were they never won a Copa America.
South American football dont have joy, they will kick your legs like mad.
You see the like of Chile, Ecuador, Colombia,Uruguay and Paraguay can beat Brazil or Argentina on any good day. Football in south America is evenly distributed that's why their world cup qualifiers is always the most competitive.

None of Mali, Burkina, DrC, Guinea have won anything the past 30yrs.

So clearly not all of them can win

guy forget this thing. How do u define hard? Do u know the number of great European footballers too that didn't win euro. A competition that Argentina has won 15times is what u call hard. There was a time Argentina won it 3 times in a roll and u say it is hard. U can easily predict the winners of Copa since they don't have many teams competing. It will always be one of Argentina, Brazil or Uruguay and once in a while people like chile, Colombia and the likes can win it. The Uruguay u mentioned are also a big team in Copa America. They have more trophies than Brazil. In the last 40years of Copa America just five teams has won it. Brazil 6 times (they won it back to back twice), Uruguay 4 (they won it back to back once), Argentina 3 times (they won it back to back once), Chile twice (won it back to back and this was their golden squad) and Colombia only winning it once. So tell me how it is hard.

To be fair, Egypt won AFCON three times in a row row too but that was an exceptional team with a backbone of local players from one team (Ahly National), same as what South Africans are looking to do with Mamelodi Sundowns players.

I believe Hassan Shehata coached them to all three titles.

What do you mean two big boys?

Four different countries have won the last five editions. Argentina and Brazil only won one each out of of those.

I made a mistake there. They have 3 big boys and they have won a combined 13 times in the last 40years. Don't forget Copa is played every 4 years. Only Chile who won it twice and Colombia where able to break that jinx of the big boys during the 40 years. The Chile team had a lot of top players same as the Colombia team. Go and check euro and see if it is the same way they are winning it. If the best teams can win it 3 times in a row like how Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay are doing it.

Euro - it is played every 4 years sef like world cup

AFCON always present the most upset, smaller countries no de gree for anybody. Other trophies are easy to predict. With this point of mine, I hope I have been able to convince you that AFCON is the hardest to win.

4 years. They changed the order around 2006 before it was 3.
Re: Which Of These Trophies Is The Hardest To Win by tuzle(m): 12:50pm On Feb 10
Let me shock those that think Copa is harder. They have played Copa America 47 times and just only 8 times that a different team has won it. That means the remaining 39 has been won by Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. Argentina and Uruguay have both won it 15 times while Brazil has won it 9 times. While the remaining 7 teams struggles to have 8 wins.
Re: Which Of These Trophies Is The Hardest To Win by selartj: 12:50pm On Feb 10
Over the years, Euro has been the best in terms of beautiful football and officiating, then South American football for raw skill and physicality. Afcon comes next for raw talents. Asian cup is least. But things don dey change o. If other continental championships no wake up, Afcon is fast taking over. For the first time ever, all the Afcon matches I've watched are great games. Give it to Patrick Motsepe; the guy sabe.
