But the west has to make it appear like a religious crises in the case of the Arabs and a poverty crises in the case of Latin Americans and Africans, just so no one would address the real issue these people are leaving their countries in the first instance.

Ukraine and Russia signed the Minsk agreement in 2014. Ukraine never fulfilled its part of the agreement. Instead of Russia waging a war, Putin went on to renegotiate and signed a second Minsk that even favored Ukraine more than the first. Ukraine still refused to fulfill its part of the agreement. As Angela Merkel, the then-Chancellor of Germany later said, the Minsk agreements were just an opportunity for NATO to buy time and arm Ukraine.

Even at the beginning of this war, Putin was still calling on Ukraine to come to the negotiation table and agree it wouldn't join NATO. The same happened when Putin signed another agreement and agreed to leave northern Ukraine and lift the siege of Kyiv if Ukraine would begin negotiating. Ukraine and the west did not keep to this agreement either.

This is just a few of the times Putin has been deceived and he still keeps getting deceived. It's like he just woke up to reality.
