To me iwobi performed well. He was not a central midfielder because he wasn't good at it as he is fairly good as an attacking midfielder But paseiro converted him to a central midfield in this occasion.
The problem paseiro inherited from the super eagles as a coach is our lack lustre central midfield. He couldn't just fix it. And he brilliantly decide to change tactics to strengthen the defence to lead way for counter attacks. We are not used to 5-4-2 formation. But our potency in it shows we are a threat to every team. He went extreme by going for a 5-4-1 right from the quarter finals where Osimhen was not fed enough through balls.
