The overtly tribalistic vote in SE happened in this last election when for the first time in 23 years of democracy, SE did not vote for PDP as usual...instead voting of the only candidate of SE background on the ballot.

Unfortunately, if Tinubu could win with the Naira scarcity, fuel scarcity and hardship shortly before the election, I don't see anything stopping him in 2027.

Forget all the cries of hardship. When the time for election comes, tribal sentiments will still prevail and people will collect money to vote as always.

I am challenging Unlimted22's position that the SE Obi vote in 2023 was not a tribal vote. It very much was. The difference is that the tribal vote across Nigeria had been going to parties - AD/APC/ACN/NNPN in SW/NW, PDP - SE, SS, NC, NE, until last year when it specifically went to people for the first time - Atiku in NE\NC, Tinubu SW\NW, Obi SE
