Renowned Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, popularly referred to as Davido, has recently voiced his inner musings regarding his career trajectory.

The musician took to his official X account to share his contemplations, sparking widespread attention across social media platforms.

In a candid revelation, Davido expressed a sense of remorse, contemplating whether he had made the right choice in pursuing a career in music.

He candidly acknowledged the opulent lifestyle enjoyed by professional footballers, juxtaposing it with his own journey in the music industry.

Money can do what seems impossible.

Davido dropped out of school and returned to Nigeria. His wealthy father paid Babcock to start a music department because of one boy (Davido).

His father spent more than ₦10m to promote his Molowo song. Money was being used to push him until he learnt music and does it well as if it is his talent. Excess money can make you excell in what you ordinarily can't attempt.

Why did I say this? If he decides to become a footballer today, he will make a name in it within 5 years because he and his father have enough money and know how to use it to get most of the things they want.

Career that has brought you fame, money and connections is what you are regretting?

Anyway, he who wears the shoe know where it pinches.

His admiration for footballers is quite understandable but he must realize that it's those at the top clubs and good leagues that make the kind of money that can make you whistle from an opened mouth
