A sizeable percentage of Arsenal fans really love Havertz. The way his goal was celebrated was surprising. An untamed Odegaard is a dangerous player. Watching this guy slice midfield is orgasmic. |

mostob:Wong .. vvd wasn't bullied.. He was trying his possible best to avoid touching the ball and colliding with Allison.. I'd say martinelli noticed that and took advantage of the situation.. If Allison wasn't in the picture.. na martinelli go dey roll for ground after that impact.. |

Towards the end of the first half of the season when Saka was missing chances, I said I wasn’t expecting anything from him then but he’ll be at his best in the second half of the season and Man didn’t disappoint Me. Boy has been smoking hot this half of the season👍 |

Comments on Kiwior has been interesting. Very very aware compared to Zinny. Is Arteta tweaking reliance on Zinny inverting by switching that responsibility to White? Or it's just temporary? |

Saka shouldn't attempt to dye his hair again abeg. Infact, he shouldn't think of such. |

daveP:We have been playing a flat back 4 with Kiwior since he came in for Zinny against Liverpool. Inverting Kiwior will only complicate things for him, so Arreta is keeping everything simple and it has worked. |

I won't lie kiwi have been solid lately The fact that some key players are coming back from injury makes this second half of the season interesting We are close to having our full squad with correct depth |

White is inverting into midfield and Kwior is gaining serious confidence on the ball. Still needs to improve. Kai is doing what Arteta wants him to do. 65M not a waste at all. It's is when Partey and G. Jesus joins the tram full and fit that will make our bench look well stocked. |

What a rollercoaster weeks of football this team have served us. We're looking well poised for the challenge been set before us and that's really a good thing. 1. Scoring 21 goals in 5 matches and conceding only two is stuff of champions and to do that in 3 away games is nothing to be joked with. What is even more interesting is that we've allowed just two shots on target in those 5 matches. Wowwwwww!! Back to back zero shot on target conceded while scoring 11 goals? It just feel un-arsenallike but hey, I'm not complaining ![]() 2. This Dubai trip seems to do a lot of wonders for us and I'm so glad it came at the right time when we were at our lows. Suddenly no talk of needing a proper Cf amongst our fanbase, cohesion within the team is at an alarming best, our set piece delivery is dope. In fact, it just feels like a new different arsenal compared to the first half of the season. 3. I love the new tweak Arteta have made in finding a system to isolate Saka let him be 1v1 with defenders instead of the normal 2-3vs1 Saka is always suffering from. Now Saka is seen to start from deep before making that darting runs instead of always been hanging out in the wings. The constant fluidity and movement in our frontline helps too. Saka now playing closer to goal infield, Martinelli shuttling between WF and outright Cf, Trossard knowing when to play the CF role and when to drop deep so that Havertz will fill the CF role by making those deep runs which confuses the CBs, White inverting and and helping in our buildup(must be said, he seamlessly took that role like duck to water), Odegaard being Odegaard — pulling the strings with his creativity and vision and Rice doing what he knows best. It must also be said that Raya have been exceptional since the restart of this year. His distribution have been top notch and his confidence at the back is great. Kiwior have been great also since playing the conventional Lb role he's been assigned to but he needs to improve in the attacking 3rd. Not forgetting our two CB dynamos (Gabriel and Saliba) 4. I was surprised about Martinelli first time pass to Odegaard which led to our first goal ystdy. Same thing he did against Man u. I just wish he could be looking up more and giving a certain pass/cross instead of just blindly whipping a hopeful cross anytime he gets to that byline. Trossard and Havertz understanding is something I noticed in this passed two games (various swapping and movement) and I just hope it continues. It not only confuses defenders since they won't know who to mark but it also makes Odegaard to give that defence splitting passes since he can spot runners going in behind defence. Havertz first touch let him down numerous times ystdy and I was hugely surprised cos that's his strongest quality. Happy with his goal cos it's of good quality and long may it continue. Trossard—Havertz partnership, it'll be interesting to see how it continues when Jesus comes back. 5. Porto away next. Let's go there. I'm feeling more ecstatic than ever. Moreover this team looks more matured and experienced, something we lacked last season. Let's go for the win COYG!!! |

Spy360:You clearly said Havertz and White are cerebral players according to how Arteta are USING them. You clearly said they're the brains of the team. You said all these because of how they've been playing for arsenal these past few weeks. How then Is it a hypothesis when the "how" and testing have already happened? You gave a list of skills, defined them and gave categorised examples with our players under such skills. How then is it a hypothesis? I don't care if you're the godfather of research department ooo, but you see this English, you must grab understanding of English first ![]() You can't give an analysis, categorisation and examples, bring a review video from 442 as your reference and when you're bursted you turn around to claim hypothesis. None of us be pikin here na ![]() |

Roland17:No. It has not been a simple flat back four. White has been inverting from RB, exactly what Partey did at the start of the season. At least give the rookie some credit. |

mostob:It's Havertz. Havertz can push to CF for Trossard to drop into midfield or drops further deep to form a midfield square with Odegaard, Rice and White, Havertz drops into a double pivot with Rice to allow Odegaard push forward to press, Havertz goes wide into LW to allow Martinelli go central attack and infield to form a front two with Trossard. Everyone is moving but it almost always involves Havertz. That's why I said he is the free man and joker, the space interpreter that determines the positions others take in the pitch. You don't have to argue with me, just go and watch our last two matches. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 7:57pm On Feb 18, 2024 |
Spy360:I always criticize anyone who misses easy chances and GJ wasn't an exception. I've criticized even Saka here during his early days for missing chances before he improved tremendously. The reason why we argued was because you were saying he's missing chances because of his workrate he normally do and that he needs to stay in the box like a traditional 9 why I disagreed saying he's just not a great goalscorer. I've always always been an advocate for false 9 role right from beginning |

Spy360:I wanted to type something long before until I came across the bolded. You need to start watching this team first before you start debating about who is cerebral and who is not. BTW, I lifted this from EBL's weekly analysis on Twitter. Ødegaard made sure that occurred, though, as he consistently organised the structure of his team. As he was moving high, he instructed White to invert. His tactical understanding is incredible. Much like Bernardo is for Pep, Ødegaard is like a coach on the pitch for Mikel.. Look at that last line... |
