adioolayi: Why is it that each time well meaning Nigerians especially NORTHERNERS criticize this government , people always ask where was their voice during Buhari's administration without even making background checks about the people speaking? Do you think everyone is as tribalistic as you guys? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/458239-sss-releases-buharis-critic-usman-bugaje-after-eight-hours-detention.html&ved=2ahUKEwitjffIm7mEAxX8aEEAHctrBMUQFnoECBUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2A7emgCJVnVvZyvube4DR0 4 Likes |

danowena:What are you saying? It seems you are very ignorant if economics, it was the removal of subsidy coupled with the floating of the currency at the same time that was responsible for the huge changes in exchange rate. They are stabilising fuel prices by paying subsidy, which they claimed to have removed. The subsidy payments are even higher now than before removal. 3 Likes |

I still wonder how people still say Tinubu removed subsidy when we all know that Buhari removed it from his 2023 budget but didn't announce it so that it doesn't affect his party's chances at the elections... Tinubu only made the announcement when he was sworn in.... Is it now the person that announced it that removed it? 1 Like |
Re: Tinubu Stopped Fuel Subsidy Without Plans To Cushion Its Impacts – Bugaje by wirinet(m): 9:48am On Feb 20 |
Segzy19:False narrative. Buhari made provisions for subsidy till the end of his tenure. He left the decision on whether to retain subsidy after his tenure to Tinubu, and Tinubu choose to do away (in theory) with subsidy. If Tinubu wanted to keep subsidy, he would have done it through supplementary budget. 4 Likes |

Oya tell us when was the end of his tenure o. We are talking about Budget here.... Answer me if subsidy was included in the budget to cover the whole of 2023.... Pls respond... As at May 29, Buhari was even yet to pay for February to April subsidy... He would have done it through supplementary budget how and when? When the NASS was even yet to constitute and choose their principals abi? Or you expect him to borrow to pay subsidy abi (even the arrear backlogs too)? Na wa for you o... Please get the proper understanding of governance... wirinet: |

Streetdoctor:Oga stop regurgitating nonsense. Had it been Osinbajo won, didn't he partake in the primaries? Politics is not played with emotions, he was roundly defeated in the primaries and it should end there. Do you think Osinbajo has the mental capacity to withstand the various issues confronting this country? If Osinbajo gets attacked on social media and Street protest, I can tell you, he will fold and show weakness and Nigeria is not ready for such leaders that can't stand their ground to effect necessary changes. I'm not defending Tinubu, he should carry his cross because he applied for the position but people saying he rigged the presidential election is what I don't understand. Tinubu never got the support of Buhari before and during the primaries, the Naira design and scarcity was targeted at him in order to stop him, however, he strategized and align with the people that matters and came out victorious and people concluded he rigged elections. 1 Like |

what Tinubu should have done was to remove only fuel subsidy and maintain Buhari's exchange rates. then make measures to tackle the the scams CBN do with the official forex rates and have limits to sell to people like Dangote because he took advantage of the CBN rates |

Government oooooh. Support everything produced in ABA from now. Give them access to export without charge. Do so for every producer and farmer etc. everything we can sell out lets sell out. Send people to farm, clear bushes for everybody to farm and sell the produce in the next 6 months Farm everywhere lets produce food and sell. support academic research, any researcher that does not produce anything deduct research fund from source for that researcher. Gather experts Chemical Engineers to revamp the refineries. Support Artisanal fuel production with control of pollution. Conduct research on how to manage the by products. Further refine them in refineries. Give time line for everything called endeavor. But the wicked one will not allow them to hear. They are a confused set. When they get there they get confused. They begin to wonder what is happening to them. It is not their fault. Man was not created to rule himself. Those who managed to get it somewhat right in the past though with unsolvable challenges are also getting confused now. Just look around and you will understand. Remember the Prince of Persia in the Bible of Book of Daniel. The saddest thing is that some countries have been cut off in the midst of the last days of the world soon to end. We happened to be one of them. so sorry They can only barely manage. Someone said I didn't see Abacha and I laughed. The entire global economy has been on a downward spiral. Sincerely check it out. |
