I carried title for head sey I be manager, with 60k salary. I approached the MD for a review. Her response... "You should thank your stars you are being paid this much. Find out from your colleagues in other places how much they're being paid" A week later, I resigned in the middle of a major project. I expected her to call me and do the review. Instead, she became bitchy, threatened me and my guarantor that I should return to work by force. I no gree for anybody and the project crashed afterwards. The sponsors retrieved their support. I switched role, started afresh and to the glory of God, it's the best decision ever. 9 Likes 3 Shares |

May the Almighty add money to this joy and fulfillment you feel. 🙏 I tell younger people around me that life isn’t all about money. There’s this joy felt in doing what you love to do, that money can’t buy. The money coming from it, whenever it eventually does, is like a bonus. saxtaiwo: 1 Like 1 Share |

saxtaiwo: I am happy for you, but you ought to look outside of Nigeria for your PhD because most US and other foreign universities provide fully funded PhD programs for international students. Apart from the fact that the program will be fully funded, some schools will also give stipends to support students financially. 2 Likes |

saxtaiwo: I had similar experience with you, I studied architecture during my ND, even although I graduated top of my class, I had no passion for the course. I wrote jamb and got admission to study mechanical engineering in OAU. It was one of the best decision I made. Since you are almost done with your masters degree, I advise you to search for PhD positions in Europe. Focus on countries like Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. They have several funding depending on which area of physics you have specialized. Also, PhD is a job position in any of these countries. You will work as an early stage researcher and write your PhD dissertation around the projects you have completed. I wish you best of luck. 4 Likes |

Autonomous01: Just make sure you graduate with at least a Second Class Upper, as that would improve your chances of achieving Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS) which you can use after your name (I have that already). With that GMBPsS, you will be eligible to apply for UK sponsored visa jobs for the role of an Assistant Psychologist. In the UK, only those who have achieved doctorate in Psychology are recognized as Psychologist, Masters and Bachelor's degree holders are classified as Assistant Psychologists. Get clinical experience as much as you can, it will help in the long run. 3 Likes |
