merits:I believe Mile12 was initially set out to be a market and not a residential area converted to serve commercial purposes. Also... the leaders seems to have quite an influence in current government. The excuse for wanting to move the market was due to the traffic it garners but this is just the government inadequacies on fixing alternative routes...such as akanimodo-alapere link road, isheri -maiden link road, agboyi -irawo link road and even the fourth mainland bridge. These are all roads that can further reduce traffic on the strip. For village, there is basically no alternative and this causes a lot of traffic especially for those trying to catch a local flight. 1 Like |

The country reminds me of locust plague, all it does is destroy . We have the most wicked looters ; however I’m happy any pits the dig for us to fall in, them and their 10th generation would be in those pits. bassdow: |

The people shot their selves in the leg during the last election, that is what power can do , no matter the amount of money you have 8f you don't have power you will suffer from the powerful. A state that gave you good environment to grow your business, because of politics you rose against the lanlord when he needed your support, what else do you think he would do when he get to power eventually. Dont bite the finger that feeds you. 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Gandrova:You have started this ethnic bigotry. Same mindset you enthroned a non performer as President. And the rest is now history. Suffering in the Land. Hues and cries. Yaba market is now rented by lizards and rodents. Right owners were chased out and given to a southwesterner to rent it out. The mall was shunned and the market is now a shadow of itself. Now,Computer village built and inhabited by Igbo's for over two decades. They're being relocated and chased out to a new rustic site. And you're applauding. Like Yaba market, Computer village will go rusty and extinct. The traders going nowhere. It's high time we restructure this country to ensure spirit of competition and avoid this Lagos seamless oppression of hardworking traders and workmen. What can you do to promote trade apart from commission agent business? Time Will Tell! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Igbos, the developers of another man"s land have developed the place, and now the owners of the land want to use the place and relocate them to another bush to develop. 5 Likes |

jconsulting: How is he the landlord? The Gbadebo those people supported is actually the true owner of the land while the so called landlord is a settler like those people. 1 Like 1 Share |

bassdow: Impossible. Who has money to be buying N1,000,000 computer? Second Hand computers full the whole computer village. N30,000 and you're sorted. How can that kind of place ever lose popularity? Secondhand PC keyboard that I purchased there for N1500 last week is even better than N6000 keyboard I bought from Jumia last year. |

Imagine how igbos have turned everything in Lagos to tribal war ? Would governor have to seek igbos opinion before they carryout necessary rehabilitation and construction? So igbos want Lagos to remain dirty bcs of their 2by2 shops ? What's a tribe in Lagos 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Alaba market should be the next. Until those people put their hands where it belongs, we shall continue to show them Yoruba own Lagos. Part of their sin is they rebel to dislodge their Landlords and install "Atohunn riwa" over the indigenous people people as Governor, God forbids. By the next election, they must have learned to respect their host. They must change their strategists of bullying to support their choices. More relocation of their settlement ahead. "Yiyo ekun t'ojo ko". Thanks to the Lagos State Government led by Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu 8 Likes 2 Shares |

apocalypso007:You're NOT well informed... I'll explain. There are many Yoruba and Edo computer dealers and computer engineers in the Ikeja Computer Village in addition to Ibos. As of the late 1990s, the Yorubas were the ones who started what is called Computer Village today selling computer items before others joined them. The location was indeed a full residential area with Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's shrine just nearby. (These are the facts that some of the younger generation who were born from the late 1980s or the 1990s don't know about because they were babies or little kids then). In addition, the BIGGEST dealer of computers and accessories is a Yoruba multimillionaire called Mike Akinwale. The point is that Ibos are NOT the only ones in the Computer Village like you guys just blindly believe. Other folks are there quietly making money and they have their registered association as well. The relocation will affect everyone regardless of ethnicity and that would be awesome for the benefit of all... That'll free up that area of the current Computer Village for gentrification with newer residential houses popping up and there'll be more security. The new Computer Village which has been planned for years would also ensure a bigger venue for computer dealers, computer engineers, and phone dealers as well. Cc: deefirm 6 Likes 1 Share |

So they just wake up to discover it is a residential area after all this years! Imagine the cost of demolishing all the buildings and structures in that computer village and building residential apartments there from scratch. Is that not madness? |

it doesn't make sense to convert an area close to ikeja under bridge or any area close to any under bridge section to a residential area. |
