Benue leadership is APC. APC is party controlled by the tribe of the herders. Is this govt of Benue issuing orders it knows it cannot enforce?

State Police would have made it easier to enforce the law in your state dear Governor.

Fr. Alia you can't remain in APC and fight Fulani Herdsmen.

Why do you think the herdsmen returned in their thousands immediately you won elections.

Forget that story of letters where written to them to return by your detractors.

They simply returned to continue killing because a candidate of Miyetti Allah Party won the elections and so thought they will be untouchable, unlike under Orton.

I did not read your comment before mine above.
How can an APC govt fight off herdsmen whose bosses control APC?

Toothless security agents making noise every now and then. There are people who would've been governor of that state and news about those barbarians would've been a thing of the past.

Don't end up being too gentle like Jonathan...

Know when to get your hands dirty for the state/people.

When that 2 whole weeks deadline expires, you better implement your threats.

Too late, many tribes that like herding, consider themselves as indigenes of Benue, and would not tolerate expulsion. There are not like igbos that would carry their bags and go, if you maltreat them, they would fight back, and show benue that they are a majority in Nigeria. Even though they are a minority in the big scheme of things. If it were yorubas or igbos, they would thread lightly, the north needs yorubas, to face the igbos, so their anger with yoruba is a catch 22 something; but because it is so many tribes in benue and plateau, loyalty is spread around, which will bring opening to these kinds of attacks.

I will say this, the igbos should have a plan, a dynamic plan for non igbos around. We need to plan, even for our cousins in cross Rivers and akwa ibom. We need to plan, against cousins, just incase devil enter them to be evil against us. Even though we might never use our plans against them, and our fore fathers and mothers, will be turning in the grave if we have conflict with them. Regardless, we need to plan and be ready for many situations. They have sabotaging plans against us if need be, so why should we be a sitting duck. If we can plan for cousins, the other hostile ones around should not be difficult. Those ones, we already know. Am not even talking about the elephants like yoruba or hausa, am talking of others. One igbo adage says, when you are surrounded by enemies, you need to protect your home.

Umu chineke, we are in a time of tribal politicking, we shouldn't shy away. We should be peaceful, but we should be ready to retaliate for the harm against igbos in plateau, benue, kogi, and abuja. Nupe tribe is now an endangered specie. So, we should support some others as a group, and let others fight their fight. Like Tiv, idoma, etc. gallant tribes, but their divisiveness within each tribe, is making igbos or northerners, not know who to trust. The northerners have used systematic style to flush many of these tribes away from the security forces. So, they have an uphill battle.

The igbos will be unwise to think it is a distant fight that doesn't concern them. Observation and analysis is key here. Overall, igbos should be peaceful, but very alert to the surroundings.

This Food crisis and scarcity currently facing Nigerians could have been avoided if and if only FG paid attention to cries of millions of Benue citizens suffering from the murderous activities of Fulani Terrorists cry

I believe the creation of state police will swiftly address the herder issue in Benue and other security challenges facing Nigeria.

I don't think we should turn to demons and behave like Fulani herdsmen, it is the fight of the state and government, Some people have suggested that Benue people should take law into their hands and forcefully drive herdsmen out of Benue, but won't that cause a bigger problem because Fulani herdsmen will return back to kill more people.

They are heavily armed with sophisticated weapons.

If this is the mentality you guys have over there, it's no wonder they're killing y'all like flies. Keep waiting on the government, you hear?

My fear all these while.

While it's introduction will solve some security issues, but looking at how polarized the nation is, hope it would lead to something bigger, like civil war

Disarm them in a coded way to harm yourself and even when they return, you won't be caught off-guard. Always remember, attack is the best form of defence. Ask Pep Guardiola if you doubt this grin

The Benue State Security Council has handed a 14-day ultimatum to herders violating the state’s anti-open grazing law to stop rearing their animals outside ranches or have themselves to be blamed.

Mumu talk did Ortom fought them in PDP?
You guys make politicians look smart . What’s the difference between all political parties in Nigeria? It’s all about the individual not the party .

But your comment is the real mumu talk. The person that you responded to said it exactly the way it is. Go back into history in years of Ortom and find out all that transpired.

Second Mumu talk , keep on making the politicians look smart , Ortom blamed his incompetence on APC during his first term and used it to campaign that he can’t fight insecurity under APC , the Masses voted for him only for him to keep on complaining in PDP again with the same results.
Any governor who wants to work will do it regardless of the party .

Why do they stll talk about herders vs farmers crisis when they actually know the issue is Fulani herdsmen terrorism with the sole aim to destroy and take up lands from indigenous people who are farmers?

If Benue state government is really wanted to get of herder terrorists, they should employ the of 3 to 6 no-nonsense tribes which give Fulanis sleepless night.

Do you guys wanna know the tribes?
