Immediately the release, the next candle stick jumps - JUMP! not move oo, It JUMP / SKIPs, if your broker is not strong enough - it would blast your take profit and keep running.
Check the running trade on MT5, it will flashing green but, the trade not closing... Happened to me on FundedNext, I had to manually close it myself above TP.

The recent USD CPI (core and m/m) all where green, Super one directional news... XAU quit 2000s, not even indices was spared. Check the 1 min chart, no deflection.

Confirm fron GBP GDP + prem. GDP, it was two sided (green + red), there was a deflection before settling down to the effective side of both news (Sell).

Omo you will adept in this thing o. I am not really a fan news per se. I trade technical set my sl and tp. But I witnessed this jump of a thing that week on cad crosses. I was trade mean reversion when the news came in and the thing jump like mad before I know wetin they shele my sl was hit with extra jara lol.

But this very trickish how do you react to conflicting news(green +red) when you're already in 20 seconds before the news? Because whipsaw movement will cause damage to both una account.

Prev week closed bullish with long tail and small body. If price failed to go higher and price dropped to Nov 17th low.

AU analysis:

WK: Weekly closed bullish with long tail and small body after digging into October MN down candle.

D1: On the daily, after price traded through Nov 17th low below October MN candle open, price rejected 9th Nov high which is a swing high on H4.

H4: Looking at H4, Price has been pressing higher.

COT report: Comm are net long and the hedging program shows that comm are above the equilibrium line within the last 12 months. Also we can see D1 and H4 has shifted bullish after taking out a D1 low below MN +OB.

My target is 30th January high.

My competition accounts are a mess especially funded next. I’m on serious DD because I’m trying to take the same trades on two different account.

I recently noticed that I give back a lot of profit. Examples were this week, after the long trades I took were in profit , price came back to take me out. Though journaling has helped me on how I should approach the issue.

Jameselias, hang in there, what you are thinking is not the option. Start small and look at the advices that has been mentioned to you here.

I strolled here today and just imagine trading advice and method flying around. Any newbie still looking up to this thread to learn more might even come out worse than they were before joining this thread if care is not taken.

I keep repeating that trading is not hard, you are just not disciplined enough to follow whoever your mentor is 100%. All popular strategies online work, the thing is after encountering few losses, people tend to leave the strategy in search of another, and the cycle continues.

This thing is not hard! If you are ready to go bet9ja style, follow all those gibberish plastered here for the past 24hours, but if you really wanna learn and turn it to a living. Reduce your activity here, go back to your drawing board and pick just one strategy and master it on a demo.

Save aside funds to get a 5k prop account only after doing 10% profit severally strictly following your strategy with proper risk management on a demo account.

Whatever good takes time, but it also shouldn't take too much time either. If it's taking too much time, maybe it's time the person changed method. This is not the early 2000s where there was little or zero resources to learn from. With so many resources on the web at this age, it's a disaster if anyone is still struggling 4years+ and still not getting it. Maybe it's high time the person paid all those JeffBen, and HabbyFX mentorship money to cut short the journey.

Online teachings doesn't work for everyone, as learning alone could be hard. If I was a struggling trader after years of non profitability, God knows I would have found money to go learn offline with those guys I mentioned above and make like-minded friends offline too.

Thanks for your kind suggestions but they are a big no for me as it is not in line with my Japa plans. Although I intend to study and learn both python programming and data analysis because my goal is to further my post graduate studies abroad and one of the required skills in my field of interest is proficiency in data analysis or python programming or even mathlab. Shout out to boss PriceActionZ for the pdf you shared freely from Fundednext, it was quite an eye opener. While I was reading through the ebook, it talk about a lot of mistakes which traders make which is also common knowledge to anyone who has been here for a long while in the trading space, I know a lot of them but I have not made conscious effort to tackle some of them. But after reading the ebook, I made a resolve to implement this new routines, going forward, although I have to give myself credit for even putting myself on the right path b4 even coming across the book in terms of risk management and the number of pairs that I trade.
so going forward, I made a resolve to only trade between Tue to Thurs, no more trading on Mondays and Fridays. I think this will help me reduce the number of trades that I take as I only focus on nasdaq and US30. Also judging from my past performance through my trade explorer from the month of December till this very moment, my biggest wins and profitable trades always occur within those three days. Linking my accounts to a trade explorer has also really been helpful to me as I am able to track my performance and statistics better and also they kind of serve as my trade journal... cheers and wishing us all a profitable week
