We start from somewhere, at least it's a straight flight

See who is talking about AI industry here, Nvidia has been making chips for more than 30 years , and just hit it big on AI chips, air peace has been flying for more than 10 years and has gotten 3 lucrative routes , route to London and another to new York.

If you still can't make anything out of this then the fault is yours.

NY isn't on their website yet but London is. I prefer flights with a stop for the experience even though straight flights are cheaper. At least it afforded me the opportunity to see the magnificent Qatar airport.

Imagine a direct flight from Nigeria to UK at the cheapest price possible.... many Nigerians will ditch other airlines for this
Exactly what I just noted, being a straight flight is huge and from one of us which will be cheaper. And considering their good transportation system, it is a good deal
Re: Allen Onyema: Air Peace Chose Gatwick Airport For Lagos-London Flights by Yankee101: 7:13am On Feb 26
It was imposed not chosen

Major airlines prefer the more lucrative heathrow
Re: Allen Onyema: Air Peace Chose Gatwick Airport For Lagos-London Flights by Makawhizzy: 7:17am On Feb 26
Gatwick is far better than Heathrow since they are not running connecting flight yet with other airlines for onward transfer and they can still do it from gatwick. The queue in gatwick is lesser so checks are fast and you don’t have to spend 1 hour queue like heathrow.
Only issue is over time they will start manning more officers for luggage check anytime airpeace flights come in cox it’s from naija and they have associated our name with anything illegal even before we commit one.
Kudos to airpeace make dem sha get correct staffs with better training for this route not the idiots manning their Sharjah dubai line that could not handle ordinary flight cancellation by communicating effectively to passengers but technically held them up inside a bus in a park without basic provision till the police had to intervene.

Straight flights are not cheaper sir.
Not even from Nigeria to anywhere if that was the case everyone will be on VA or BA not Qatar and that Ethiopian airline that treats Nigerians like fourth world citizens.

Hmmmmmmm.

This is good news for me. I always dread that 20 minutes fast walk in Heathrow airport.

I think Manchester will be more lucrative than Gatwick.
There is no competition there

Not everyone would love to settle there besides Manchester to London is a far distance to travel

hope u know VA,BA, Lufthansa, air France etc are expensive airlines generally...hope u know that all airlines are currently very expensive in naija because of inability of those airlines to export their earnings in dollars?.....hope u know air peace won't face that issue .....I predict air peace to UK will be btw 500k to 900k

Air Peace Chose. The airport is owned by a Nigerian anyways. It's a win win for us.

If you still can't make anything out of this then the fault is yours.

We are saying the same thing but in different languages.

Air peace will go the route of ethiopian airlines. Now if you are paying one should invest based on it getting 3 routes then yes. If you are talking of Nvadia which is a global brand and Almost a monopoly in regular chips creation then No.

It all depends on the context you are using that analogy

That does not mean your stocks will go up as much as Nvidia neither does it mean your profit will sky rocket.

Why una dey talk like this sef sad

If you get more passagers but you are the cheapest, does not necessarily mean you are the most profitable.

It a good one but I just hope they fly there at least thrice a week no business person will take them serious if they are flying once a week except if thier target is for those that are japaying.
They are commencing every day of the week.

Tell your politicians to:
Use Nigerian hospitals
Send their children to public schools in Nigeria
Keep all their families in Nigeria
Use only Nigerian banks to stash their loot, not foreign banks.
Remain in Nigeria after their political career.

No one loves this land,,, it’s now seen as a means to an end.

Your assertion is wrong. Ogunlesi is a managing partner in GIP, he does not own the airport.

GIP has grown to be one of the world’s largest infrastructure investors and currently manages $100 billion in assets on behalf of its global investor base. The companies in GIP’s equity portfolios have combined annual revenues greater than $80 billion and employ approximately 100,000 people. Moreover, our mission as a firm includes not just creating value for our investors, but ensuring our businesses deliver high quality service to the communities and customers each serve.

1. Nigeria Economy in all ramification was far better when we had foreign based players as service providers. The greed of Nigerian politicians using corruption money to float businesses through proxies is heartening and sickening for our growth as a nation.

2. Nigerians forgets in a hurry, we don't keep records, we don't take stock and statistics of precedents.

3. How much was domestic air ticket when we had foreign airlimes manning our local routes? How much is the ticket now from LG ABJ PH UYO CBQ?

4. How much was cement when we had imported cement in our local markets? How much is cement now? How much was Turkey? Chicken & Poultry commodities when we had foreign products.

5. We are clapping for them in ignorance as though they are trying to grow local content whereas they are trying to defraud the masses with quack services for higest price.

6. Can we compare quality of airline services now with local owners against what we had then with foreign actors?

Finally a decision that considers the convenience of Nigerian passengers, Gatwick is definitely the way to go for Air Peace!

Let’s hope everything succeed. Straight flight from Naija to UK by Airpeace go make sense.

Are you saying that if the UK later grants the use of hearthrow airport, airpeace will not move?

Many more wins for AirPeace irrespective of any nefarious plans The UK Government had in mind....

We cannot be stuck on foreign generated goods and services for ever. We won't get employment right.

We won't get our macro economics right.

We would be a victim to whatever local challenges that occurs in their home country.

While using proceeds of corruption to set up companies is bad, there can still be some advantages in it instead of just transferring the loot to invest abroad.

Competition will lead other entities into the market, generating commerce and employment.
