Every country pursues its national interest. The difference is how they go about it.

When a country goes around sponsoring coups, wars, and genocides, enslaving and colonising people, categorising humans into species depending on their skin color, killing fathers, mothers, and children on an industrial scale, and turning everyone's lives upside-down overnight --- all in the name of national interest, then there is a problem.

Does Russia or China pursue their national interest the same way the US, UK, and France pursue theirs?

Did Russia and China keep slaves? Did they colonise anyone? Do they go around promoting, sponsoring, and funding wars?

Does Russia and China go around spreading fear in their citizens, demonising the leaders of countries that refuse to bow to them, or use their media to paint themselves as the good guy while painting those that resist as evil just to justify their imperialism?

The answer is NO.

The what or why has never been the issue. The how has always been the issue.

How is China pursuing its national interest? How is Russia pursuing its national interest? And how are France, the UK, and the US pursuing their national interests?
