Exactly. Most foreign missions all over the world make policies base on reciprocities. They will respond by slamming Nigerians applying for work visas to their countries with similar ban…after a few months of monumental damage tinubu will go back, reverse it again like he always does …dancing owambe while Nigeria is in total collapse …there was an interview around 2015/2016 when then American ambassador was asked about a particular visa that was available to other third world countries like India but not to Nigerians. The ambassador mentioned that India first implemented that kind of visa which made it easier for Americans to visit India so they reciprocated unlike Nigeria that gave short visa stays to Americans according to the ambassador

it will make it expensive to be hired to work in Nigeria, at least Nigerians born abroad who would have come as expats.

Why must people complain. Even when government does something good, you people will find a way to twist and turn it into a negative news.

Same Nigeria people have been complaining how Lebanese and Indian people take up important position in companies in Nigeria leaving us with crumbs and labour works. Now government has done something to mitigate it to ensure that we're given a level playing field to work which will in turn increase the transfer of skills to Nigeria people.

I can not be this sad in life

Maybe when other countries start doing same to your Nigerian brothers and sisters abroad, you will see the implication of such an ill-thought policy. The money is too much.

Nigerians born abroad will simply apply for Nigerian passport. That are Nigerians and not expatriates

Europe does the same thing, they only employ foreigners in jobs they cant find qualified persons from the white community.

Countries all over the world have this kind of policy. There are even some positions you can never get to as a foreigner.

Thank you for educating clueless people….if they know how Indians are flooding important sectors and importing, junkies into the country daily…the policy is a good one, it will automatically encourage local content and bring in dollars cool

It's a good policy, infact we have plenty good policies of such in Nigeria but the issue is mainly implementing and enforcing them. Infact the Local content policy was meant to be a good one but looks at where we are. Imagine a firm with up to 20 expatriates, instead of paying for twenty of them, they will simply use $50k to bribe their way out. These foreign companies know that an average Nigerian is not immune to collecting bribe.

Lol, don't dream too much bro....dangote has the most Indians in Nigeria, but trust me..this net is not for fishes like him.
The main issue in Nigeria is implementation of policies, not just dishing them out.

How many Nigerians are abroad?
How many of those Nigerians abroad have those expatriate standard jobs?

Less than 2%...every country has policy to protect the home employment quota and rate...you must not go abroad, stay here, let's build Nigeria.

You funny people always looking for the bad side of things, talk about the good side of the policy.

If this dull head was from the household of former guber candidate Funsho Williams I must say am glad he never got to the seat because how can one be so foolish in reasoning ?

How many foreigner flock into Nigeria to do the menial jobs most Nigeria go abroad to do, aside Nigerians can't this clown see that lot of other nationals flock into those developed countries for same opportunity ?

Dies he even know those countries polices are deliberate at welcoming the worker cis they need it to sustain their economy or watch the economy shrink n crumble unlike Nigeria that does not have enough jobs for it population.

It’s good to be educated and well exposed to the reality.
Does this person not know that it is a common practice in many countries to impose levy on foreign workers?
Just because you want to antagonize every government policy, you don’t mind exposing your ignorance to the public.
Just remember that your unborn children will know one day that their grandpa na ignorant in public matters.
A foreign worker levy is a government-mandated fee employers must pay when they hire a foreign employee in certain markets. Several markets charge local employers a levy for hiring foreign nationals, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.

This Omotayo Williams is one of the dumbest people I know on X.
I unfollowed the dumbass when I realized that he is never in support of good policies by the government.

He is an antagonist of good things, imagine the nonsense assumption, sadly some gullible idiots who can't think for themselves will agree with him. Na one of those gullible people bring this rubbish assumption to Nairaland.

We are fully in support of this policy anybody that doesn't like it can go to hell
