For once... a person with a brain has finally spoken.

Otti is wrong here, he is a professional banker and therefore the standard opinion is mundane. The idea that inflation is caused by excess liquidity in the system and must be mopped up using taxation is not what is happening at the moment.

In fact, there is no excess naira chasing after goods.

The challenge is that we realized that Naira is a product and dollars is the store of value. So, instead of selling goods and services, why not just buy, store and sell money?

People started buying, storing and selling money. We even buy, store and sell, not just dollars, but we are also selling naira, bitcoins, ethereum, and every alt, stable and memecoins.

So therefore, while there is artificial inflation caused by our own actions, these cash are stored underground in bunkers, safe, tanks etc etc leaving little cash naira in circulation while inflation persists.

I have tailored solutions for this unique scenario, but not everyone will like it, but can surely make a China out of a Nigeria.
