Nairametrics had earlier reported the arrest and detention of two top executives Binance on Wednesday over alleged manipulations in foreign exchange trading and speculative activities.

The executives visited Nigeria in response to the country’s recent crackdown on various cryptocurrency trading platforms.

Don't say what you don't know. Let me see how fine a company that is not registered 🤣
Dem don hold them for blokos. Even the owner of Binance is being held by the US. Everybody go pass am around holding him till all the coins fall.

The executives rush to Nigeria because they must be making a hell of money from all the activities. They came to protect their interest but we don kidnap them. They must pay.

Look, seriously. One of the best moves Nigeria can make now is to adopt Bitcoin as the national currency.

If anyone in Nigerian Government is reading this, take the idea and run with it.

As I've said before, the problems of Nigeria have very simple solutions. The real issue is the INTENTIONS of our elites and those in government. Do they want DEVELOPMENT or are they in it for themselves alone?

There's some simple policies that can make Nigeria richer than South Africa and Poland within one generation. It's about FREEDOM, freedom, freedom, let people pursue their needs with minimal government involvement. People KNOW what they need. A sound, valuable currency is one of them and bitcoin is a good fit...definitely better than dollars and naira. Anyway, let me go see how many dead bodies I can was today to earn some dollars

Good Luck to Nigeria.

ITbomb:
So when they pay the fine, will they be allowed to continue the P2P?
Who will enforce the fine?
Shouldn't it be a court ruling?
1. Yes they would be allowed after stringent policies are put in place by the binance.

2. No. The financial regulatory organization of your country does not need a court ruling to slam fines on financial institutions. Fines are regularly slammed on Nigerian banks.

3. CBN, SEC, or Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria

Yes,binnance was fixing rates and that's what the Aboki in the streets are using as a benchmark, hence the continuous falling of the Naira.

Banning binnance does not make the nigerian economy healthy

There's binnance in other west Africa countries, why is binnance not fixing rates in those countries,

I think there's an economic sabotage somewhere by political opponents and enemies.

The fact still remains that the nations economy is unhealthy bedeviled by endemic corruption

The government need to bring out people centric policies, expecially those that will cussion the current hunger in the country.

If this overbloated government takes a dagger to government expenses......

Nigeria would not be in this mess .......

A lot of Nigerians are unfortunately slow, I guess that's what poverty and ignorance does to a person.

Binance's p2p is not just for Nigerians, there's a lot of other currencies that individuals can use p2p for, why don't those ones have problems?

Is Nigeria so peculiar and special that they decided "let's milk this country and sabotage her economy?

Let the government keep running in circles without addressing the root cause of the economic turmoil.

Governments around the world hate crypto because it takes financial power away from them and gives it to regular individuals.

I look forward seeing how this plays out

Mrzed:
The Federal Government has slammed a $10 billion fine on crypto trading platform, Binance, over allegations of influencing the country’s forex crisis.

The special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this Friday morning in an interview with the BBC.

According to Onanuga, Binance profited substantially from its “illegal transactions” in Nigeria while the nation suffered huge losses.
