Tension and chaos gripped the streets of Benue State today as gunshots echoed through the air, following a dramatic confrontation between the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State and police officers. The scene unfolded as the chairman forcefully broke through a police blockage surrounding the APC Secretariat in Makurdi.

He has written the state assembly to remove three local government caretaker chairmen - which it is illegal to have even appointed caretaker chairmen. He wants the one from Ukum, Katsina-ala and Gboko to be removed for being loyal to Akume and disobeying Solomon Wombo for the case of the one in Katsina-ala Local Government.

There's a fierce Battle for the control of the Party in the State.
