Imagine being at a meeting with fellow bosses and one of them openly insults you. Your loyal omo ise who is sitting at the door gets up to protest on your behalf, asking why dem go insult his boss.

You being the cool calculating boss not wishing to inflame that particular moment, downplays the act, and asks your boy why he would dare assume the other boss was insulting him.
