It's actually very expensive for Nigeria. The same amount in the US is about N26,000. Something is not balanced. Based on income of the average Nigerian, the price should be considerably less.

Yes, it has doubled but if you decide to buy only one pack from the store, multiply it by the total number that should make 1 carton, you will see that the person that buys a carton of it spends less than the person buying one pack.

Indomie is owned by Indonesia BUT has been banned by at least 2 of its fellow Asian countries Malaysia and Taiwan and it was banned by those 2 countries once they discovered a potentially cancer-causing substance called Ethylene oxide in the popular Indomie brand of instant noodles.

Ethylene oxide is a colorless, odorless gas that is used to sterilize medical devices and spices. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the gas can contribute to increased cancer risk.

Once I read this about a year ago, I threw away the half box I had at home and stopped buying it.

Health officials in Malaysia and Taiwan said they had detected ethylene oxide, a compound, in Indomie's “special chicken” flavor noodles. Ethylene oxide is a colourless, odourless gas that is used to sterilise medical devices and spices and has been associated as a cancer causing chemical.

I just stopped buying it because my wife prefers spaghetti more than indomie...
