The Gulf Of Aden IS NOT international waters.

This is a repeat of the 1958 invasion of Egypt by England and France for control of the Suez Cannal.

The Gulf of Aden is not open waters and falls in the territory of Somalia, Yemen and Djibouti.

When you understand this you understand the problem.
You couldn't even explain to me how it's not international waters and what makes it not international waters. Look how you dodged my response and chose to cherry pick. Hilarious!

The 1958 invasion of Egypt by England and France was a totally different situation. It was sparked by the nationalisation of the Suez Canal by Egyptian president, who took over the control of the canal from the foreign-owned Suez Canal Company to the Egyptian government.

I don't get how you compare the two situations. The Gulf of Aden is not a narrow waterway.

Alright, if it is Yemen's water. I ask you again, mate, what right does Houthi, which is a terrorist group, have to attack ships passing by?

Can we also justify when Boko Haram carry out a terrorist attack on a busy route. Do they represent the Nigeria government? I don't think you are getting the point here.

They were Jubilating shouting Alah war Akbar, letter turn around screaming genocide. I don't need to be exchanging words with you, God will continue to decapitating terorist

Question 2: are FIFA and IAAF wrong or right to have banned Russia for invading Ukraine?

This is the first comparison you've made in this thread that somewhat correlates. Well done.

You read posts on SM and you wonder why people are so bad at comparisons and analogies.

This is an international water, even if it wasn't what right does Houthi a terrorist group have to attack ships passing by. That should be Yemen's decision.

They are TERRORISTS,a terrorist group. Just like Boko Haram attacking people for plying a particular route. Again, not Yemen, but Houthis, get that into your head. HOUTHI IS A TERRORIST GROUP AND THEY DESERVE NOTHING FROM ANYONE!

And where did you pull the whole rubbish you wrote up there from. This is not a propaganda page where you spout all kind of bollocks and expect every sensible person to swallow it.

You reckon it's right to strike a commercial ship that has nothing to do with Israel. Your attempt to defend the action shows what sort of person you are. What are you doing on my thread anyway?

The Gulf of Eden just like the Suez canal is not part of the open sea. It is within several countries territorial waters and EEZ. Don't just come and be misinforming people. There are instances and circumstances under which coastal states have the right to close such waterways. Go and read laws of the sea.

BBC reported that the crew were warned first and advised to turn back by the Yemen naval forces as the Yemen Navy informed them that they will not allow them to proceed since they were headed to Israel, the Captain of the ship did not heed the warning and decided to put the lives of his crew in danger.

Turning back would have saved the lives of the crew, the ship and goods onboard. You're a civilian merchant ship so the lives of your crew , the ship and the goods on board are your priorities, it's not your job to dare an armed Navy! The Captain of that ship was just reckless and irresponsible.
If US and UK want to fight Yemen, it's not your own business and he should have turned back after he was hailed to stop and turn back.
You have started applauding another terrorist action again like you did on October 7,2023.
It's much easier for you to say like Hamas didn't kill any isreali or kidnap anyone and still holding any hostage, using paragliders and blasting off fences to cross into isreal to spark this particular war.
You want the war to stop without releasing hostages abi?You must be joking.
My point is ,i don't want the Houthis to stop attacking commercial vessels, infact let them continue since that is their own way of showing solidarity.
But they should always know there must be consequences and nobody will sympathize with them when that time comes.Because the US has also warned them.
Any reasonable govt go try protect it's own people and national assets.
No place for Islamic terrorism any longer in this world.

I reckon you are overlooking the fact that Houthi is a terrorist group and they are not Yemen naval force. Bear that in mind before you try to make a point that they are in charge of the gulf of aden which you think is their water. I gave you an example using Boko Haram in Nigeria.

Your argument is flawed. I can see how you are trying to defend the Houthi attack on a commercial ship in the Gulf of Aden by comparing it to the Israel-Hamas war and the Russia-Ukraine war, but these are not the same situations.

First, the Houthi attack on the ship was not an act of self-defence or resistance. The ship was a Barbados-flagged bulk carrier carrying steel and it had nothing at all to do with Israel or the US, and it was sailing in international waters(Google is your buddy). I stated this earlier. Even if it were Yemen's water what right does Houthi,a terrorist group have to attack ships passing by? That should be Yemen's problem not Houthi!

Israel and Hamas have been in a long-standing conflict for decades. Hamas is another terrorist group that controls/controlled the Gaza Strip and rejects Israel's right to exist. It has fired thousands of rockets at Israel, targeting civilians and infrastructure. Israel has responded by targeting Hamas. How's that Israel's fault?

Russia and Ukraine, on the other hand, have been in a war since 2014, when Russia invaded and took Crimea from Ukraine and backed separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine. For one, Russia violated Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and yeah they faced global condemnation and sanctions for their actions.

I don't see how you can compare the Houthi attack on a commercial ship with the Israel-Hamas war or the Russia-Ukraine war. The Houthi attack was not justified by any moral or legal standard, and it cannot be seen as a valid form of resistance or justice.

I know where you are going with this and I have to burst your bubble, the Gulf of Aden is not a Yemen strait. It is a deepwater gulf of the Indian Ocean between Yemen, Djibouti, Somalia, and the Arabian Sea.

That ship was sailing in international waters, which means it had the right to pass through the Gulf of Aden without interference from anyone.

The Houthis do not have the right to attack the ship or any other vessel. The attack was in simple term a breach of international law. The Houthis are not a rights group fighting for the rights of Palestinians, as you claim, they are taking advantage of a situation. They are a rebel group that has been fighting against the internationally recognised government of Yemen with the support of Iran. Do you get it now?

Bros, you are just speaking gibberish. The gulf of Aden is the territory of someone na. How can you tell me i cannot impose sanctions on my territory?

What do you mean by internationally recognized? You are just throwing around western statements carelessly.

Is the US invasion of Iraq internationlly supported?
Is the Israeli act of genocide against Gaza internationally supported?
Is the US support for Syrian terrorists, including ISIS against the legitimate government of Syria internationally supported?
The UN has five permanent security members, most sanctions by US are only supported by three out of 5.

Please, US and Israel have shown that might is right and diplomacy is useless. So their enemies can only speak to them in the language they understand. Watch the world go in flames because of the arrogance of those who think they are not accountable.

Exactly. The Yemenis did not blockade any other part of the open sea. It is only the gulf of Aden that is under sanction for western shipping.
