Theflint1:Monerozii provides fascinating and disturbing insights into the mindset of northern intellectuals on our class of 2001 whataspp group we have another who strongly celebrates 'communalism' and polygamy. man was PROUD of all the northern governors with 4 wives and 20+ kids I a father of 3 who is constantly exasperated by the hassles of trying to raise responsible adults asked so how do you train 20 kids? and the answer - its the mother job |

seankafor:They are not the same thing sir. An intelligent man can either be wise or unwise. Wisdom is not measured by IQ. They are not the same thing. You can be wise in financial matters through several personal experiences or other people experiences that you've learnt from. An intelligent graduate student will not be able to close a deal a man that has 35yrs experience in the same sector can close easily. Why? Because the 35yrs man already knows how to navigate the waters with his past experience. The intelligent graduate student will have to understudy and learn. Wisdom comes by learning and growing. You can be born with high IQ. Even the bible says in Provers 4:7, "Wisdom is the principal thing, so therefore get wisdom. And in all thy getting, get understanding". You can be born a genius, you cant be born wise (except maybe you are Jesus). |

larride:I've not seen that kind of delusion before. Even when I was a kid I know FG usually does agricultural intervention for farmers and it only makes sense that most of those intervention goes to the north since they are the ones who farm the most in Nigeria. Imagine my amazement reading that FG does not do anything for the north. Maybe if he had said the interventions are not enough or not much compared to what private organizations do I would not even be bothered. Even the private organizations, what they do is geared towards them making profit while assisting the farmers. At least I have a friend that works in one of those companies and I know their company promoters make money when the harvest season is over. |

GloriousGbola:Baba advertisement is not something a company just wakes and pump money inside hoping it will work out. Advertisement actually involves a lot of research on the part of the marketing/corporate communications team. They research the demographics of their target audience and figure out what they believe will appeal to them. Me and u are looking at things from the outside. Look at it this way: They are coming into an already saturated market and they need to use a face that the people see as household name; someone that inspires confidence. The mere fact that we are discussing the brand ambassadorship right now shows their advertising strategy is almost a success. They got us talking about it even if we don't have any need for engine oil now. Let's say I buy a generator or any equipment that requires engine oil, I might just decide to even try rowe engine oil out even if it is out of curiosity. |

BlueRayDick:i raise you . Mobil is the preferred engine oil we did our research then and relised mobil has established trust with mechanics over decades. if we were going to get mechnics to buy into our oil , we would have to win their hearts and minds. when you see downstream companies sponsoring mechanic training or mechanic vaillages, that is what it is about in the 2000s when banks were flush with cash post 25b capitalization, a lot of weird promotion exercises were afoot as an example, the banks hired a lot of advertising guys from FCMG industry so we were seeing open account and win 1 million naira ads. it was weird and bizarre. banking is supposed to be a sober industry, but they now adopted FCMG style marketing tactics. what works in one industry does not apply in another industry like AP using tiwa savage in adverts. are you going to buy petrol from AP because of tiwa savage? or all those glo celebrity ads that nigerians themselevs mock, saying adenuga should spend his money on boosting the network i hope you went straight to AP to fill your tank after seeing this. i am sure she sorted out your engine fatigue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe1J2AWY0DU i cant find the original. the original ad

GloriousGbola:Baba AP is an already established player in the game na. This rowe engine oil people are new in town and they need to put their product in our faces. Pete Edochie is like one of the few actors almost everyone can't claim they don't know who he is. The man has been acting since the time of our parents and he's still here now. Those people know what they are doing using him. U may not patronize them because of him, but some other Nigerians will do. There are academic research that affirm the position that there is direct relationship between celebrity endorsing a company's product and improvement in such company's profitability. |

Amigoss:Debt like everything is cumulative. Rivers State will take longer to catch up. The endless money Wike is using to sponsor PDP, APC, LP and Ondo public officials wives all came from debt he loaded on Rivers State. Rivers pensioners are being owed, not to mention all it's students on various scholarship schemes who were sent home from abroad. While it may take longer for chicken to come home to roost for Rivers, Abias judgement will come sooner because their debt to revenue ratio is much higher. Lagos borrowing is well within its revenue capabilities so no issue there. At least you can see my consistency in financial accountability across all parties. I'm like Pitobi
