Someone misappropriated 84 billion in Kogi , I mean that same Kogi state grin
The Hijab wearing former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs( The useless ministry that should be scrapped anyway) embezzled over 30 billion
'Senior senators' got over 260 million each for ' constituency projects'
A whopping 3 Trillion naira was padded into the national budget
Now another 12 billion by a ministry most of us don't even know .
With the amount of new information coming out daily and all that we know, Nigerians are still going about like nothing happened
We'll get angry for a few days , and then move on .
When Kanye west said slavery was a choice , people were insulting him. Doesn't it loook like it now ?

Imagine how much this country will have if we actually recoup all the stole fund from every head of state , governors, ministers and even DGs since 1999.

If probed further, these are the elements causing insecurity in the country

Sudden wealth, too many cash as hand, then lure to extremism

Emefiele should have been allowed to finish the mop out excess cash from the public domain....this is one of the numerous loose cash chasing the few available $$ dollars

Sadly, Emefiele was part of the problem as he was mopping up Naira from the poor masses. The extra Naira that he and his cronies printed had already been converted to dollars so he mop up exercise was designed to fail as the poor people were the victims.

Im greatly troubled with this report and really dissapponted with the public officers entrusted to help the masses.

Why are we like this?

Misappropriate billions of dollars, money for the whole people you presiding, 8 or 10 of you shared it, delivering no or quack jobs.

I wish I had a gun and some address.

As part of the ongoing probe, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has traced 27 accounts to the suspended Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad.

Young - check
Wealthy family - check
Studied abroad - check

40 year old Ahmad is nothing more than another common thief who has put paid to the notion that young people are, by default, the panacea to Nigeria's problems. cool

He attended Essence International School, Nigeria and British Secondary School of Lome, Togo and later got admission to study Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University of Leeds, UK and graduated in 2006.[7] He furthered his education to Masters[8] on Project Planning and Management from CADD Abuja and Masters in Development Studies at Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Nigeria in 2008 and 2018 respectively

In China, all these public officials would be tried according to the law and if found wanting they'll be hanged/killed....end of story. China understands that such persons, their corruption and the seeds they spread will cause their country to fall if they punish them slightly. They just kill them to serve as deterrent and they also confiscate all their belongings. This is why corruption in public service in China is very low compared to USA and UK and Canada.

In China, they recruit only the smartest and brightest people into their civil/public service because they know that the civil/public service is the engine room of their country. They cannot proper as a nation if they don't have the best hands in the engine room.

Contrast China with Nigeria and you'll see everything that is wrong with this country. We have an extremely corrupt civil/public service and because of the lax attitude of government towards their corruption we see that their seeds has spread to every sector and private life in Nigeria. All these thieves will end up paying small fine and then they'll retire to go enjoy their looted billions. The judiciary will even help fast track their access to freedom because even the judiciary in Nigeria is rotten to the core with corruption.

How can Nigeria progress this way?

Corruption is so rife in Nigeria because nobody is patriotic to Nigeria because there's no unity in Nigeria because we don't have anything in common in terms of culture, language and religion.

So, you'll see the thieves continue to loot the country and the have many other thieves to aid and protect them.

Welldone EFCC!
I know we are going to be surprised how much you guys will do during this Tinubu's regime.

Which stupid efcc are you praising or which tinubu are you trying to hype?

Let me give you a typical example of how these people fool you. Do you know that there is a law which says that once a certain amount enters any individual or corporate account in this country the bank is suppose to notify the efcc? Have you wondered why they don’t? Have you asked your self why ministers like betta edu can siphon millions into private accounts and nothing is done? Have you asked why in spite of all the so-called arrest and media trial by the efcc and other agencies, govs, their aides, ministers etc still continue to steal public funds? It is because as long as you play ball with the powers that be you remain untouchable. But once they turn against you that is when allegations start coming up.

It’s just like a fool supporting pdp or apc or even lp when they have all been in power yet refineries cannot work, they cannot solve the problem of power for over 25 years.

You have to be really daft as an individual from any tribe to support any party or politician.

The tinubu you are supporting did not know there is fuel subsidy and staged a protest against it to remove the corrupt Jonathan. But he has come today to say there is subsidy and has removed it.
That’s akin to a transport minister not knowing how many airports we have in this country but is lobbying for the post of minister of transport. Stop letting these politicians make you look stupid. They don’t send you. Senate will still share their billions and you will sit here singing their praises.

The greatest enemies of the state are politicians and civil servants. Imagine covid-19 funds meant for rural electrification being stolen by one man.

I am the fellow and the chap you quoted misrepresents my views because he disagrees with me.

The sad thing about this site are people like him who love their strawmen

While I agree that there are far too many Nigerians rich and poor who are not paying tax who need to pay tax, I also do not support corrupt politicians and I support any party that would diversify our economy so that more money would flow in

I also support the removal of subsides totally so that we can have more investment and more refineries.

My aim eventually is that Nigeria has enough money, which can then be taxed so that we have enough to provide for the poor and also so that enough jobs are created for the poor

Countries like china , Japan and Germany did something like the above, and they are strong today

That is my view. You are free to disagree, and I am free to disagree with you, but I will never be the nairalander that would troll you and try to make you look like a fool.

Like staffoforanyan. He is someone who can't take people not agreeing with him. Sad. But then people are like that.

Good evening. May fortune smile on you
