Some yet-to-be-identified hoodlums have invaded the office of the Anambra State Vigilante in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state.

The Hoodlums, in their large numbers, were said to have stormed the premises around 7am on Thursday, setting ablaze a yet-to-be-identified middle-aged man who was in a vehicle belonging to the AVG operatives.

The details of the development were still sketchy and the reason for the attack could not be fully ascertained yet.

This was also corroborated by a video currently circulating on social media showing the burning vehicle and a voice calling for the state fire service.

When contacted on the telephone, the state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed that the attack took place but said the full details were not available yet.

“Yes, the attack took place but the full details are not available yet. Our men are on the scene to bring normalcy to the area. I will call you back please,” Ikenga added.

The man was said to be from Ogun State. He was accused of ritual killing but the vigilante people tried to shield him from the law but the youths would hear none of that.
