In 2018, the then president buhari approved the increase of the minimum wage to 30000 thousand and the national assembly passed into law that every 5 years the minimum wage should be increased. That 5 years will be April this year. I want to ask, now that is a law that every five years the minimum wage should be increased, if president tinubu approved it next month (April), will it be taken to the national assembly again for it to be passed again into law |

Yes, it will be taken to NASS if passed, Tinubu will sign it into law as Minimum wage Act, 2024 |

What was approved is the 5-year duration, not the amount. Yes, the new amount requires legislative action. |
