The criminality behind this subsidy issue is still unveiling. Someone just wake up one day to the lie of subsidy gone with no modality to cushion the ripple effects of such major economic decision and people are not asking questions. Of course it does not take much for one to know that an itchy criminal who criminally found his way in government will only continue to govern by lies and propaganda. This govt is the most criminally inclined ever seen. Being impulsive is not political sagacity. |

Nigerian revenue from oil sales is the world best kept secret.. We heard that now, NNPC would be doing the sales while CBN would be collecting the money, we wait to see how that would pan out.. something tells me the 'nigerianess' in us won't allow that to work out.. On the subsidy, we have done a full cycle back to subsidy with all the 'labour' pains now in vain. The government simply just got the people to pay more so they can have more money to share and lóot.. Most of what would have been subsidy gains are also been swallowed by the fx.. In the end, the poor masses at the receiving end get nothing with inflation shooting to about 32%🤔🤔.. the middle class almost vanished. The government has succeeded in creating two sets of Nigerians, those who can afford and so many who can't. This is not how to lift people out of Poverty. |

The thing is the subsidy is harming our economy and causing problems for nnpc and is a nidus for corruption It has to go. Gej was onto something when he attempted a total removal. Nigerians said no, today the charade continues at our expense |

An executive of a major petroleum marketing company in Lagos told Vanguard that the N17.7 billion subsidy cost represents the difference between landing cost of imported petroleum products and effective wholesale price to petroleum marketers.1.Therein lies the problems 2, Subsidy is causing NNPC to lose money. 531 Billion naira 3.We are now at 44.3 million liters per day of fuel. 4.And we are spending 17.7 bn that could have gone elsewhere (though knowing now what APC and tinubu and the geng were up to in the budget now, lol). 5.And there is a lot of opaqueness and lying as a result. (Where have we seen this before..oh yes, companies in communist countries doing creative accounting, till the thing collapsed). NIgerians may like fuel to be cheap, but at the end of the day, the cost of cheap fuel is too too much. (I betcha smuggling is back on the menu right now) 6. Even if we fight corruption, remember we don't have the dollars to peg naira. Naira is floating well well. Cost of subsidies are bound to keep on rising. He explained that it is impossible for anyone to claim that the price of petrol has not changed significantly from when the exchange rate was N750/dollar when the subsidy was removed last year to now when the rate has moved to N1,600/dollar.APC socialist economics in a nutshell. Kept up till the charade collapses. |

Amarakunle:Debt service from all the debt we have taken on since 2014 when oil prices crashed (some say since 2009)...is why we don't have enough money. And even if we had all our oil money, for a nation our size, revenue from even 4 million bpd is not enough. That's why we need to diversify our economy, something we haven't done since the 1970's. And the stealing for boreholes of over a 100 million naira and streetlights of over 100 m naira by the VIP's is making matters worse. (By VIP, I mean a certain singer's definition , not the regular dictionary word). |

Tinubu speaks before thinking. The worst leader any nation can be cursed with is one that does not use his/her brains before his mouth. On inauguration, without assessing what was being handed over to him, Tinubu proclaimed "Subsidy has gone for good". His horde of stupidity applauded him. Now, they are in disarray. |
