EFCC Obtains Court Order To Track Nigerians Transacting On Binance by Man102: 2:36pm On Mar 19
Nigerians trading on the Binance platform may soon be guests of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

On Monday, the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered Binance Holdings Limited to provide the EFCC with detailed information on all persons from Nigeria trading on its platform.

The move follows a motion filed by the anti-graft agency demanding details of Nigerians trading on Binance.

An EFCC operative, Hamma Bello, said that the EFCC’s Special Investigation Team received intelligence that money laundering and terrorism funding were carried out on Binance.

His words: “On receipt of the intelligence, the team began an investigation by conducting surveillance of the activities of the platform.

“The team uncovered users who have been using the platform for price discovery, confirmation and market manipulation which has caused tremendous distortions in the market, resulting in the naira losing its value against other currencies.”

If the EFCC and CBN would expend half the energy they waste on Binance on politicians, USD/# exchange rate would drop to 500 naira to a dollar.

they will never do that. They preferred politicians to embezzled the treasury till they finished their tenure. That’s the government system in Nigeria. Efcc is just chasing clout here. They just want to paint Binance and other crypto currency’s firms bad niiiii. Where’s Edu today? We have never heard Efcc investigating Edu. Until the system is sanitised from the head, Nigeria corruption will continue to expand beyond redemption. Efcc is just chasing clout here. Soon they will ban social media apps too

Hahahahahahahahaha... The Nigerian Govt is really funny and its really really funny seeing then clowning themselves. We still remember how the govt went after twitter for promoting terrorism and hate speech and blah blah blah. After fooling themselves for months they shamelessly unbanned twitter after claiming it agreed to meet the govt demands

The effort has not been a waste. It brought down $ from nearly ₦2,000 to current ₦1,600. If they hadn't stepped up their game like this, naira would be trading at 3,000 to a dollar by now.

Okay.

I am transacting on crypto.com from my legitimately earned and taxed Naira earnings because I would rather take a gamble on this than leave my funds in a traditional bank account to yield next to nothing and get constantly depleted and debited by the roguish banking system.

Make una come track me tell me my crime.

Don’t be afraid. You only need to cool your heels in their cell if you are involved. They will serve you good food like they give to Kanu. Ignorant ones like you are not needed in this country. You are a waste of space. Naira value has been appreciating since the crackdown on Binance. You should not be afraid if you are clean. I also use Binance and never afraid. If you eat gbi, you die gbi. If you are Yoruba you should know what that means.
