Most of those blowing grammar on this thread are only waiting for their own opportunity to sit at a better table of corruption. Give them any position in government this very day and watch them become mellow and unreachable while making a killing.

We are who we are! The rot is in the entire system and clearly visible in our daily activities on every street in Nigeria!! Peter Obi, Reuben Abati, Femi Adesina, Adams Oshiomhole, Babagana Kingide etc were all talking the talk but made insignificant impact when they got a seat.

The price of milk and dairy products is one of the reasons why bakers are crying over cost of production

Prices of 25kg of milk is now over 150,000 because only a few companies were given forex at official rates to import them.

Can someone explain to me how this will lead to the crash in price of diary products? Lifting ban by CBN means that diary importers can approach the bank for FX, banks will sale FX to importer at bank/black market rate. If importers have been importing since 2020 using parallel market when it would have been cheaper using banks why will price crash now the the bank and parallel rates are same? I will love to be schooled. Thanks in advance.

Few importers had access to fx and would fix the price they like, the products were seen as cb by customs with lot of restrictions making it difficult and expensive to get into the country. But now many importers are allowed, competition would crash the price

Market should be determinant factor. Once you sell homegrown stuffs, it should be cheap not more expensive to imported things. Just look at the parabola of rice!

It's only going to bear fruits when there are multiple persons importing the commodities into the country. Otherwise, greed won't allow the monopolistic importers to reduce the prices.

Let there be a Price Control Boards in all the Regions - to check the Monopoly of the importers,for the Masses to breath!

Major problem had been solved, arbitrage. Prices wouldnt crash just yet. Local production will do just that.

Last year, CBN unban importation of Rice and 43 items but nothing to show for it

Even if CBN unban it, customs won't follow suit

It'll only work when customs lift restrictions on this items and open our land borders for it

I swear, Buhari made a very big mistake closing all our land borders for this items in the first place

Very useless buhari, What's now the usefulness of the policy now
