‘You’re a great'mentor'—Northern singers eulogise Maduka University Enugu Founder,Dr. Samuel Maduka Onyishi, MON in a new video [watch].

A group of entertainers from the northern part of Nigeria has eulogised Dr. Sam Maduka Onyishi, the Chancellor of Maduka University and CEO of Peace Mass Transit, in a new song, describing him as a mentor, hero, and honest person.

The singers said Dr. Maduka is a detribalized Nigerian whose magnanimity knows no tribe or religion.

According to them, the song is already making waves in northern Nigeria and other parts of the country, and Dr. Maduka is a blessing to the generation.

The translation of the song, which was originally in Hausa, is loosely translated as follows:

. Your good behaviour does not hide You are a person who fulfils promises. Helping the poor and orphans is your responsibility. I have not seen a kind person like you. A great hero is a worthy person. It’s a blessing to have someone like you. You are a father to the masses. You kind of help make people happy.

Their musical tribute is one of many testimonies about Dr. Maduka’s benevolence and good heart.

Through his NGO, the Sam Maduka Onyishi Foundation, the serial entrepreneur has provided educational scholarships, healthcare support, and other forms of assistance to vulnerable communities in Nigeria.

His passion for youth empowerment has led him to support initiatives that promote education, entrepreneurship, and leadership development among young Nigerians.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to business and philanthropy, Dr. Maduka has received numerous awards and accolades.

In 2012, the Nigerian government, under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan, conferred on him the prestigious Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) national honour.

He has also been recognised by various national and international organisations for his commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development.
