So many red flags, you sound like an amateur and a learner trying your luck in a high risk business like phone charging, definitely you will learn and are learning the hard way.
Before you venture into a business study about that business properly from someone who's already into it, what experience or information did you gather that qualifies you to run that business?
Why would you be using a faulty gen to charge people's phones, if you go blow person iPhone you go Pay.
Also you employed a smoker to be running your business, a smoker to be handling people's phones.
And lastly, you went to go and employ your ex girlfriend in your business, you are definitely planning to fail and you have failed, truth be told u know nothing about the business before venturing now money has been wasted.
My Advice = close down the shop go and learn work from someone who has a charging shop so that you can grasp the secrets of the trade, at least 3 - 6 months apprenticeship before reopening your shop.

In your country, people use juju to do even POS business and pop corn business. Get a prophet/spiritualist to clean the business environment asap. If your competitors can afford it, dem go even kill you join.

bro the desperation got to that point aswear. So many people advised me about this too and I decided to take a shot, I took d shot, spent money nd eventually backed out. I am an orphan with no living relative and God has been kind to me... the fear of taking another path scares me.

After I launch the business, it went well the first day and second day. The third day i employed one of my old boy to work there.

Problems started when over 30 chargers got burnt at once and my extension started spoiling.Ever since I started that business, I have been spending money everyday to keep it moving. Almost everyday I repair my generator, bulbs and one issue to another.

I spend on the shop without even making a dime as profit from it. I was just spending money continously.

I decided to drop my boy because he was expensive to me. Paying him monthly plus over 1200 everyday for food, food break, smoking break.

I invited my ex girlfriend to help me run the business. She came the first day and that evening she told me her father wanted her to stop, which I saw as an excuse. Nonetheless I decided to close it down.

In less than a month, I spent over 2million for a charging center and made nothing from it.

PSS: I am a very gentle giver and I have given to so many people in area being a new person there (about 2yrs). But when I started the business, non of those that benefited from me even came. They would pass my store to the other shop. It so painful how I helped so many people coming to me for money for free and now they don't even patronise me.

One of such was a single mother that always like asking me for money and I would give her almost all times. Well, it painful. Another was a girl I was ploughing and she would ask me to send her money every here and there, turned out she was going elsewhere to charge.

So many similar situations...

But, since you say you have closed down your shop, whatever advice I give you now will not matter.

However, in case of next time...

Here is what I will tell you.

Be very reluctant to go into any business that involves you operating it with a generator and buying fuel at over 700 naira per liter.

Second, rather than go into a business that requires your physical presence...

Why not try an online business?

There are so many online-based businesses that you can start with less than 100k and you will start making money immediately.

That's true. Some places we visit for spiritual help will add more problems for us. I will suggest you try mountain of fire. They don't charge anything but you might be asked to fast for 3days without food. You're at war whether you like it or not

In my own world, people go to church because they love God, but now-a-days people are invited to church so that their business will flourish. I thought the partor's work was to show people the way of righteousness not the way of money. To the op, not everybody were made for charging business, if it doesn't favour you look for the one you are good at. Do what you are good at and leave others to do their own.

As for the business..maybe u should try something else ..the biz dey move for area wey no too get light or prepaid meters..try dey near bustop wey get okada riders,or keke drivers

Focus on your strength
"big red flag what people think" abi na Yahoo you dry do truly.
People will talk just focus on what you can do comfortably offline business is not for everyone.
See them dey even use religion dey wash your brain.
Money or prosperity has nothing to do with religion.
There are rich and poor pornstars so also there are rich and poor pastors.
