We bought basement decking materials today, planks, bamboo, polines, nails, binding wire and other items............

We are moving fast on this building, completion of the foundation on the other side, plus the decking of the basement flat.............

Foundation filling, plus the decking wood works for the basement flat............

Decking iron reinforcement, electrical piping coming up this week, more pictures later.

At the end of our works today..................

Decking wooden platform done, filling sand into the other flat in readiness for the DPC and then the decking of the basement flat.

Preparations for more blocks to be made, chippings and iron reinforcement supplies planned for tomorrow and next.

Wehdone oga spyder880, I am just curious.. I have seen some building projects where the stairs were casted first before the decking and I have seen projects also where it's vice versa.

Which of the 2 options is recommended?

Where it is possible because of the design and the cost, doing the stairs last is better. This is because the stairs will have more time to cure and get ready for use, as against the system of casting stairs first. There may not be enough time left for concrete curing before the stairs will go into heavy use.

Completing the decking cast of the basement flat, moving to cast the DPC of the other side now.............

That's what my thoughts were but wanted to confirm from experts..

We have been making a lot of blocks in the past weeks, by this week, we shall be laying a lot of blocks for the first floor walls................
