The flyover is part of the ongoing Abuja-MAkurdi-Enugu road expansion, it is a federal project. Keffi to Makurdi is complete now, they are taking from Makurdi to 9th Mile through Otukpo.

10 000 vehicles per day does not warrant an overpass.... in any country. Why is it traffic lights are never considered? I can understand one that never left his village or town making such a decision... butnthese are people that travelled ... have been exposed... have seen various ways of managing traffic flow ... but choose to implement the most inappropriate and expensive one. We should know why. In the end ... the project would be wayyy underutilized and cause disruption... displacement and inconvenience local residents.

Its not as if the two flyovers are the only ongoing projects. there are many projects currently going on simultaneously.
