In simple terms, what the report is saying is that there is an increased flow of dollars and it has led to an active fx market. Most of the dollar injections aren't from the cbn. Rather they are from those who have held dollars for reasons I won't go into here.

The CBN has given everyone with hidden dollars a window to dispose of them and those who have hoarded dollars are gradually offloading them.

The dollar can still come down since no genuine economic factor was behind its rise.

There is a muted but substantive level of panic among dollar hoarders at the moment.

Those hoarding the dollar are actually the politicians, and that EFCC offensive raid on the BDCs and CBN revocation of most the fraudulent abokis BDCs license and selling of dollar genuine ones and mandating them on the rate to resale, cutting off fraudulent banks managers is what is helping Naira strengthening, and politicians hoarding the dollars in their warehouses are afraid of running into serious losses.

This is good development but we need the cost of living go down as well. Unfortunately, nothing is coming down yet.
The country needs to go into production and infrastructural development to reduce unemployment, increase export and reduce importation, but most importantly, is to tackle cankerworm insecurity bedeviling the country.

I changed dollar today at 1270 naira.

If you have dollars, go and change it before there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.

All of these grammars and noise that does not reflect on the cost of living of the people are very useless.

The cost of living is hitting the sky. All these useless tallks eveyday here has no effect in the land.

Tinubu was so obsessed with getting to asorock that he didnt think or have a plan on what to do when he gets there.
The nation is a mess.
How on earth do you grab power by all means and be unprecedentedly clueless . Nothing real on ground. Nothing.
Tinubu is a premium disaster.

Market indices and rates are forward indicators of the economy. They do not reflect the economy as it is but rather as the investor believes it will be .

If so, then you cannot expect that a rising stock market and strengthening reserves/ currency will mean an instant improvement in household prices.

Prices will fall on selected foodstuffs and materials, rent will not fall but will stabilise but the key thing to watch out for is rising employment and improvement in demand for goods and services.

Complaining incessantly ( if you are in Nigeria) is highly risky because negative will preclude the identification of opportunity even when it is shouting.

But some people would rather complain than prosper.πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ

Obidients are the force of change in Nigeria. They are the ones demanding better from government.
There is nothing to celebrate except mediocrity in this news. I came back to Nigeria after a while and nothing here to celebrate.
Grid collapse occured today, heat dey wire person. Una go dey celebrate rubbish. This time last year 3k will take u from abj airport to your home. Today its 10k.

You people celebrating mediocrity are the problem we have. U need to be purged fron the country.
So who is at fault. I know ur wish is for Obi to be the president even if he is not capable to rule because he belongs to ur ethnic group. What was the main achievement of Obi after ruling Anambra for 8 years. The president took the best decision which Obi also promised to do. You guys are just creating enemies for Peter Obi cos many will never vote for him again cos of the level of hatred burning within u guys. The only chance u have is from yoruba cos Hausa/Fulani will never vote him no matter what he use.

My thoughts too. Until it reflects in the life of Nigerians, it remains a jamboree

Consider this real life story.

I wanted to print a one page document in a business center. The lady told me it is N300 per page for black and white and for coloured, it is N500. I did everything humanly possible to beg her to take N200 for the black and white and she refused claiming Tinubu has destroyed Nigeria. I was in a hurry so I agreed to pay.

Three days later I went to a nearby business center and I printed same document for N100. It is still the same Tinubu that is the president o. Anyway, I will NEVER have anything to do with the first business center.

It is true there is inflation but some people are hiding under Dollar done increase, to inflate prices. Some of them don't even know dollar is coming down now.

Bad news for enemies of the naira

Soon a dollar will be around 300 naira.
In Tinubu I trust......

Yes oo, he is a fearless man. Am sure he will fix things back to manageable comfort level. Check Most people complaining bitterly everyday, they did not understand this man style at all. Tinubu is not good at pampering people or situations, he takes it head on focusing on the goals at the end and not minding the pains no matter the complains. His underground works and strategy is suffisticated. Obasanjo, buhari, IBB combined fears him. Am happy Most people that complain about him daily on nairaland did not know him during 1999-2007 till date, its now or later they will respect the city boy.

Are you done?

Now that you've termed Tinubu as a premium disaster, what do you want to do next?

If Tinubu is a disaster, what is your father? Definitely a catastrophe. Could your candidate in the last election have done better? You type rubbish just bcoz someone sent data to you.

Can your father do 10% of what Tinubu is doing? Home training is far from you.

I am from the south - south and not ibo. you tribalist believe anyone that supported OBI is IBO.

This is not even about OBI. This is about the mediocrity you folks celebrate.

I dey go my base soon. The problems in Nigeria provides motivation not to return to the lawlessness and backwardness. As Trump said Shit-hole countries. We visit to get this motivation.

Make una dey vote along una ethnic lines. somebody took your currency from 400NGN officially to 1900NGN. Then brings it down to 1300 and you are celebrating. Your heads must be paining you. What kind of daftness is this ? The type you find in Nigeria.

The government has shot us 41 times with:

- Unemployment
- Poverty
- Hunger
- Intimidation
- Police brutality
- Corruption
- Zero regard for sanctity of life
- Lack of rule of law
- Injustice...
