It's very possible that it was hit. That's the most likely scenario. I'm just surprised that the whole thing was intact. I know for sure that helicopters and jets can be intact when hit by manpads from long range.

I remember back in 2011 too that a Libyan air force jet was intact when it fell out of the sky after it was hit by some short range air defence system.
