If Navy personnel is killed the police will hand over the suspect to the navy.
If customs personnel is killed the police will hand over the suspect to customs.

The Nigeria Police is the only agency empowered to carry out investigation of this kind and charge the suspects to court if needs.be.
How can you hand over a suspect to the Judge and Jury for impartial prosecution?

Nope. The military should prove his guilt. That is how it works. He who alleges, should provide proof.
There should be an independent investigation. We heard allegations of extra judicial killings by the soldiers before they were ambushed. Being a soldier does not give one the right to kill extra judicially.
