It is still much . How many professionals do u know in the UK that earns 10k pounds on a weekly basis ? Is it doctors? Tech guys? or finance guys?

The boy is just 17 and that 10k is a good starting place for him
You don’t seem to understand that his 10k p/w after taxes and maybe national insurance will amount to 5k p/w as a take home pay

Is 5k weekly take home pay a small money?

That's exactly what they're letting you know

I don't understand what u are going on and about sef. 10k per week gross amount to 5k per week net for both footballers and doctors right ?

Now how many doctors , nurses , engineers , tech guys and finance guys do u know that earn 10k gross/5k net per week as entry level salary in the UK ?

Let's see if the 10k is a lot or not

I wonder how much he thinks the regukar players of mid table teams earn sef . Aldingra earns 12,500 weekly o and Gilmore earns 20,000 weekly before tax

Arsenal gives a 17 year old 10k as his first salary he's saying it's not much .

Moreover 5k weekly for a 17 still living with his parents is luxury mehn
He will feed his people and still have alot to save

It is a lot but I was expecting you guys to say something about how huge of a grueling tax footballers pay to the government. Footballers only earn about half their main salaries after taxes. So when you see £326,923.08 p/w, in reality it is £173,481.39 p/w.

Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Dollywood(m): 2:43pm On Mar 30, 2024
That why you see big names in Saudi Arabia because they earn big and don’t pay taxes

U still haven't answered my question ; Is it only footballers that pay tax ? Don't other professionals pay tax ?

If u know that, then u should also know that Nwaneri as a 17 year old is getting a contract that places him above professionals in the financial circle who spent years in the university while he just wrote his GSCE as a teenager .

The crux of this whole matter is that u are wrong thinking he's not getting paid more than average as a teenager considering his talent. There are so many footballers older than him who don't even get paid as much as 10k gross .

For your information, Nwaneri is getting the same salary as man utd's Kobbie Mainoo on a gross .

At his age Neymar was already a prodigy with a fame no one else has seen. This “Nwaneri” is still a fledging and an unknown.

It doesn't change the fact that he got a good contract for his age and talent . That's the crux of the matter . All these Amala turning is just by the way .

10k per week for his services is a good and fair deal to all parties . Don't cry more than the bereaved .

Having almost half of your hard earned money split in half is daunting. Now it makes sense why athletes duck paying taxes like Messi and Ronaldo for example.

The rich always subsidize the poor , that's how tax works in the western world . That's why the players negotiate contracts that allows them have a luxurious life after deducting taxes

Also why they go to Saudi Arabia because they earn a fat paycheck and don’t pay taxes there.

A lot has occurred with the backline this 2024. See what i mean.

We are 1st, but we aren't in top 7 so far this year. Imagine that!!! It means we faced 80% of shots in 1st half of season for us to still be 1st. Lol.

That is because Saudi is a 4cking oil rich country; they don't pay personal income tax in Saudi . It has nothing to do with whether u are a footballer or a Surgeon.

Generally they don't pay personal income tax in Saudi

For someone just signing his first pro deal, 10k is massive. This is already PL level which can even be upgraded if he gets into the first team next season.
