For the remainder of the season
It should be partey and rice
Jorghinho have tried
We got into the game with partey
Partey na Baba na.
In the first half Arteta made the team to defend. In the second we came out to attack and press high.

I think that Arteta planned to draw that game. If he had risked it and come all out, we would have had a chance because we were more direct going forward that City was.

Imagine Jesus scoring the winner today.
Peter Drury: Once again, Jesus has risen on Easter day to give the three points to Arsenal. grin
He was given the chance to but baba decided to turn himself to defensive striker... very pathetic.

Arteta can't stop smiling. He looks content with the result. He did not want to drop points and he got that.
He played for a draw. But from what I saw and I believed he noticed it in the second half, had we played our normal game, City would have lost.

Arteta asked him to defend. At a point he complained that he could put pressure on Akanji/Lewis, but Arteta insisted.

Jesus can frustrate person, I left viewing center 72minutes cause it dawn on me nothing will come out from that game except draw.

We still need that clinical forward not advanced Antony Santos aka Poco lee that'd be dancing instead of taking a shot.

Make the boys dismantle Tuchel boys to compensate us abegi.

.

Arteta did not come for a draw he came with a plan.
The pressure will get to city as the clock goes.

Pep left the tactical game he was playing with Arteta in the first half to play ball in the second half.
Arteta wanted to win that match o.
Mancity is not Brentford.

Arteta wanted to strike in the last 15 minutes of the game.

Trossard did not do justice to the chance he had.
He could have passed. Or run more and passed.

I don't think he decided to draw, to me, he decided not to lose.

We had a game plan, we had clear cut chances through the game plan. All we needed was taking the right decisions and be clinical, yet we weren't.

The big difference between first leg and this was that Havertz made the right decision by holding up the ball well and giving a good lay off to Martinelli for a one time shot.
Second leg, same opportunity presented itself but this time to Trossard but he was very very selfish (surprisingly unlike him) and refused to pass to Martinelli. Watching the highlight again, I found out Havertz made a blindside run and if the ball was passed to him it would have been a one on one, yet he ignored the run and went for the hardest of all goals.

That single moment was what caused us to draw this match instead of a possible win

You just talk exactly wetin dey my mind.
I didn't even see your response before I gave him mine.

If Havertz have been stingy first leg and made wrong decision too, we would have been here saying how Arteta came for a draw in the first leg

Baba Arteta don dey mature.
U see that first half.
Thst is how city play when they meet a difficult opponent with good structure.
It Peps way of scoring one goal.
Arteta read it very well being his apprentice.
Especially KDB and Rodri....Rodri was the one that was pulling that play for Pep Bernado Siva providing the foil or decoy.
But rice Odegard and Jesus no allow that first half plan.
Sadly Jesus had an opportunity (second opportunity) which he did not take.

Pep controlled game but arsenal was more likely to score.
I no even dey fear Bayern with wetin we play Mancity.
So far as they can get Bayern vital details and tactic of play.

Arteta played for a draw
Simple
Even though both teams were cautious

Saka is fatigued
Arteta should make 80% changes against Luton
We are running a marathon and we need everyone on board
My preferred line up on Wednesday
Raya
Tomi(RB)
Saliba
Gabu
Zinny(lb)
Jourghino (DM)
Partey(DM)
Viera(am)
Martinelli (lw)
Trossard (CF)
Jesus(RW)

We need to rest some key guys abeg before injury hook them
This team should beat Luton comfortably
LFC will be closing in on us in goals against Sheffield
They can put 7 against those ones

I don't think he played for a draw, instead he played not to lose . He knew losing will be devastating and the only way to lose in that match is to try and open up to match city man to man.

Pep literally packed midfield with Rodri, Kovacic and De Bruyne with Foden and Bernado on the wings waiting to let fly and have a go at our Fullbacks. It was only normal for our own Wingers to always drop deep to help our full backs and frustrate Pep's game plan

That game was a tactical masterpiece . More like a chess game. If u noticed that Pep quickly observed he was getting beat at his own game , he had to bring in Doku and Graelish to further explore the wings since the midfield was getting choked ; Arteta had to introduce Tomiyasu for Kiwior who was getting bested and Trossard to stretch the city wings as well.

Arteta knew what he was doing and Pep knew what he was doing as well. Funny enough , out of the 3 teams competing for the leagues, Arsenal amassed the most point when they all faced each other

Our wingers were too deep
Have never seen saka operate so deep before, garviol now looking like a winger if we have Push more
We will win the game

Yeah, Arteta really read the game well and the game plan was spot on. City were really frustrated.

Na Trossard miss naim pain me cos that was very very decisive. We miss Partey mehn. If fit Partey had start instead of Jorginho, we would have pulled that strings more.

Anyways, I'm not thinking about Bayern. It's one game at a time for me cheesy

All what you said here is facts!! 100%

People no realise say Pep Mean us ystdy.
They were ready to bypass our press while suppressing us with their own press.
The press and counter press on us was too much that by 7-10min we were still trying to find our feet, if we'd played our game without the wingers helping the defence, we for too collect.
Maybe they thought we're playing midtable teams who aren't press resistance that we can press to submission

Arteta read that pep game well and neutralised his plan. Na just poor quality Infront of goal kill us

I watched Rodrygo’s (Madrid) goals today against Bilbao and saw the decisiveness I expected from Jesus in a similar situation.

You are playing against one of the best teams in the world, you have a very small window to get your shot but our guy was busy trying to cut everyone.
That's exactly why we need some la liga boiz in this squad. They know when to showboat and when to shoot, even from tight angles. I keep saying it and I'll repeat it again

There are games we'll dominate but all it will take is just the 1near chance taken by a baller and nobody will remember who dominated or pressed better again.(Chelsea Vs Barca, Spain vs Germany in euro 2006-torres lone goal on both occasions)
We need that kind of experience up front.

Now that we drew City, see as nobody cares about us having 28% of the ball? Jesus dey really vex me. He fluffs the easy ones and scores the hard ones. Now he's back and he's wasting the hard ones.
