Best price is ₦2.5m

dollar has come down. There’s no excuse to increase the prices arbitrarily, the price of this car in Jan 2024 was 3.5m as Toks and the value of usd now is the same as Jan 2024. Also this car wasn’t cleared into Nigeria during Q1 of 2024.

Some of you just like to write trash here . I bought same car recently for around 3k dollars including the site charges. Inland is 400 dollars and shipping is 1,400 dollars. Clearing is 3.5m naira so add the amt together. He should sell it for u 1m so that he will use ur teeth to re-buy abi?

Your first mistake is assuming that he is the owner of the car.

What if he is simply guided by the price range given to him by the owner?

Second, the value of dollar to the naira is just one factor in many matters of car pricing. Cost of Clearing the nko? Do you know that clearing this car currently is #3,550,000?

As at the time Jonathan's exist, cost of clearing cars was 70% of its value. That has long being increased.....

To buy this car overseas is current cheaper than to clear it. That why most people who brought this car early the year will not sell to you for less than #7,000,000, some even set price to as much as #9,000,000, depending on the model, especially of they are selling to make money & not just to get cash in Naira

Clearing of vehicles increased because USD went up. So I will ask when was this particular vehicle cleared? Then also consider how long it was used in Nigeria, after it was registered, there’s no reason any sane person will give to justify selling a car bought for say ₦2m (including clearing) after been used for 2 years, that same car now sells for ₦5m

We are not talking about the car you just bought we are talking about the car that has been posted for sale. It has been used for a period, you can’t sell it higher because the landing cost has increased, if it was Toks that’s fine. I’m sure you don’t buy Nigerian used cars and resell as Toks, so why use Toks as a yardstick. And now that your $3k usd is now ₦3.6m as against ₦6m in mid February 2024, will you now sell lower or increase the price arbitrarily

Let me now ask you a direct question & I want you to answer me sincerely, no capping. You were the one that bought this cars for #1.9m.

Your intention is to use this car for just 2 and half year, then you will sell and add money & buy a Nigerian used 2014 Rav which cost approx #4.8million ( that car don enter your eye since).

By the time you wanted to sell your car, the tokunbo value of your own car is between #7m - #9million. And the 2014 rav 4 you want to upgrade too is now between #8m - #11.5million Nigeria used.

Please answer this sincerely, will you sell your car below #1.9m or above #1.9m?

The answer to the question is simple, how greedy I’m I?

If I can’t afford it, I can’t afford it. This makeshift strategy to buy something we can’t adore has pushed us to the point of excessive greed and it must stop.

NIGERIANS ARE Selfish and Greedy.

See deflection!! I asked a simple question that pride & ego won't let be answered sincerely . Sell below #1.9m or sell above #1.9m?

You shift away focus from you & say Nigerians are greedy, because you are a beninoise poodle and not a Nigerian. Or you are a German shepherd..... grin

Moral of this deflection, don't criticise a level you have never experienced. Karma can be a real bitch later.

You're not making any sense, even if you're to sell above 1.9m, it should still be at a reasonable price range. why should you X3 the price of a used car. if it isn't greed, what else??

Talk plenty

Put your own car for sale at 1/4 of the current market value.. I sincerely doubt you have one tho.

Use your own car sale to teach others how to sell theirs, or simply shut up and stop spitting around another man's business.

If you think op's goods are expensive, go where you know you can get them cheaper

The car you and your co-pokenosers are saying op should sell for 2.5m, do you know that the toks engine and gearbox is presently above 1.4m combined?...Even if op decides to sell that car to car parts sellers, he will get far above 2.5m cash.
