PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MANAGEMENT TEAM OF THE NIGERIAN EDUCATION LOANS FUND

In line with his determination to secure Nigeria's socio-economic future by ensuring sustainable higher education and critical skill development for all Nigerian students and the youth, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the following qualified Nigerians to serve on the management team of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND):

(1) Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr - Managing Director/CEO

(2) Mr. Frederick Oluwafemi Akinfala - Executive Director, Finance and Administration

(3) Mr. Mustapha Iyal - Executive Director, Operations

With the appointment of the management team, the President expects that the necessary apparatuses are expeditiously put in place for the effective take-off of this pivotal Fund for the immediate and lasting benefit of Nigerian students and families in all parts of the country.

Somebody please tell Tinubu that these Elitist appointments to his political cronies does not count as job creation.

He should also remember to create jobs for the commoners, the mekunu, the talakawas , the Otimkpus.

These people are not only good enough for voting purposes alone !! They are also worthy of jobs that will guarantee them income.

I hope those of you that kill yourself during elections can see the way the appointments are awarded. No job creation for common man. Na big man and big man pikin dey get appointment.

President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Engineer Uzoma Nwagba to assume the role of Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer at the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP)

He made this appointment yesterday and you did not complain. Once a Yoruba person is appointed, you all will rush out with your nepotism agenda. Is it now a crime to appoint a competent and qualified Yoruba person into public office?

Why not allow TETFund handle this matter?

There is already a BIMS platform where information on students can be gotten. Expand and strengthen that platform and let tetfund create the needed unit or office. The act should have taken care of this as it was suggested on multiple occasions given the need to cut cost of governance.

This is beginning to look like 'food for the boys'. Why even appoint someone whose speciality lies more in agriculture? Why not use someone who is more invested in education management?
