I never said you were wrong I only said is sounded funny.

A. Win
B. Draw
C. Lose

You meant to say he wanted to win or worst case to draw.

I said he may have wanted to win but he didn't plan to win, he planned for a draw. Hence his defending all game.
He may have wanted to win but he didn't plan to win

You too funny.

So an elite coach will just wish to win, he won't plan for it but hope that goal will just come from sky above abi??.

Keep on turning like barber chair sir cheesy

Based on common sense sef, no way Rice would reveal the team's tactic to an outsider before the match. So how Spy and Oyin take conclude from that screenshot?
Based on common sense
Is that a team tactic, saying we won't play our normal game
That's a team tactics
You sef reason am you go school like this
You are preparing for an exam you know how the man set his questions your colleague ask you how are you preparing for it
You reply you won't read the way you have been reading
Does that mean you have exposed yourself to your colleague using common sense?

Even the non elite coaches want to win. If you ask Crystal Palace manager is they want to win Man City, he will say yes please.

Every coach would want to win.

But if Crystal Palace play Man City like they want to win, they will get Bazookaed. Their approach to the game will be to defend all through the 90. When a team focuses all their game on defending it is obvious they are seeking a draw.

I am repeating myself.

The issue we have here is that your statement of planning not to lose. That's bone cracking 😂

It's like saying the runner that crosses the line first takes first position. Before nko!!!

Show me where exactly Dec/Antonio said Arteta planned to play for a draw. You this guy would sometimes make one doubt if one truly went to school or not.

Anyway, show us how exactly the screenshot showed we played for draw.
Uncle I go school

Arsenal usually plays for a winning using a high press. Without the ball you usually see Odegaard, Rice and Havertz attacking the opposition centre backs. With the ball you will one of our fullbacks inverted and the centre backs positioned near the centre line and our team laying siege on the opponents low/mid block.

Against Man City it was totally different. I saw a more structured defensive tactics with no inverting, no high press, and even when we have the ball we want to go long. No passing from the back, in fact we didn't try it once. We only had two players upfront and one is Havertz. Both wingers were second fullbacks to the point that Gvardiol dribbled Saka three times wiping his ass on the floor and Saka couldn't even attack him once.

We came we defended and that's why the game ended goaless. I tell you if Man City had scored, our approach would have changed completely. You would see the real Arsenal like we saw in the community shield.

We aimed for a draw.

You wey go school go shalaye how what Rice said translates to 'we are parking the bus' tactic. Infact, there is a phrase Antonio said in the screenshot that completely destroy your stance but agenda no go let you see it.

You doubted a coach's words but chose to believe a mere talk between two players.

All these na unnecessary shalayes. Na simple question I ask you. When we beat them 2-0 that year, na high press we use? You don forget how many games we have lost even with 80% possession.

Forget it, you need to understand the basics of tactical analysis first.

.

Don't mind jare.

I remember when Liverpool were playing AC Milan..champions league.
AC Milan had scored 3 goals.
After Liverpool pulled on....they brought in Brazilian left back Sergio to provide attacking width.
Steve Gerrad left his midfield position to play right back.
Liverpool won that game.

We set tell u say Arteta read game....he wanted to strike in the last 15 mins of the game.
The question is between Pep,s team.and Arteta team....who could control possession more.....
Even the quality of personal they are slightly better especially when you consider their bench.
Even first leg...they had more possession but Rodri and KDB were absent giving us a better chance to control game.

Keeping all our top players fit is key.

If Rodri absence and KDB injury did not occur this season....who knows...they might have won more matches.

Look at the whole picture.

Our winning first leg gave us believe we can win them.

Thank you bro. That your last line is another sucker punch. Why should we play for a draw against a team we defeated earlier this season?

Anyway, another big test await us against Brighton.

The Premier League is considering REMOVING points deductions and introducing an NBA-style 'luxury tax' due to concerns that top players might leave if their pay is restricted.

The 'luxury tax' would penalise clubs financially for overspending, with the penalty increasing based on their spending. Clubs in theory could still choose to spend freely if they prefer but the knowledge of taking another financial hit.

The tax could then be distributed to the other Premier League clubs who stayed within the rules.

Normally, if City is heavily hit, it will affect the league's image. So they got to do something. I guess that is why they return the points back to Everton.

Well, this race is very very close. Any who snooze will lose.

Unlike last year where I believe this team might falter due to lack of experience, I'm fully backing this team to go all the way this time

They should give all the points back to Everton and Forest back. League will soon finish.

They can't be deducting points from the less privileged that will really affect them and when e reach big boys (which I believe judgement will be passed by probably next season), they'll start talking about fines. Which fines dem wan fine Man City or Chelsea wey go affect dem?
