The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had issued a stern warning to former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Chidi Odinkalu, over his recent comments on the arrest of Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.

Okuneye was arrested following her abuse of the Naira

It is now self evident that @officialEFCC is a shameless, #IdleAndDisorderly institution whose sole preoccupation is #AbuseOfPower. This is beyond unfortunate but entirely predictable.

Any fight against corruption without Tinubu, Gbajabiamila, Ganduje, and others around Tinubu at the top of the list is no anti-corruption fight.

The EFCC is merely chasing shadows. In fact, the EFCC is a shameless, disorderly, and idle institution, as was aptly described by Odinkalu.

In case of corruption, their hand is tied already.

With The amount of fraud going in the government and judiciary. Governors do not have immunity from investigation. If the efcc investigate security votes and other procurement frauds of each governor and pass the criminal evidence to the state assembly for impeachment. They are leaving the real issues to be chasing shadows. Is naira abuse really the most important economic and financial crime?

Since Police have decided to turn a blind eye to Bobrisky, EFCC decided to step in out of moral prodding.

I wholly agree with the professor, if EFCC were serious the LP candidate in the last election should be in jail.
