Development has eluded that backend part of highbrow Victoria Island for decades and my guess has always been that there's a reason folks avoid buying land there and building up the place. It's very painful that someone will go and buy that land. Smh. Mr Paul Onwuanibe should have avoided that place, he should have sensed that there's a reason there's no development in that large expanse of space in VI and even LASG kept it that way. It was too obvious and risky. Something is fishy about that land and the best bet is that govt had designated it for future developments. Paraman:Here's the news as at today. https://nairametrics.com/2024/04/06/lasg-to-demolish-200-million-landmark-beach-resort-for-costal-highway-project/ Seems they will be compensated and not road reroute. Those whose houses were already demolished may cry foul and litigate. 6 Likes |

This is an opportunity for Lagos to be innovative, are there no other options on the table beyond demolition. ..some of the coastal corridors need sand filling sef , why waste money building a coastal road through out...they are trains that carries car this day, same with boats... Who say we have to drive all the way to calabar .... Think of it like a light house and a war ship ...the war ship however tough must give way for the light house. You guys took Bar Beach from us we didn't say anything... now someone create an alternative for the public you want to take it too ... it's like you want the sea to vex and flood Lagos. |

Paraman:I'm happy for him o! Lagos state should always consider people who have contributed and live in the state during demolition. This will strengthen and give investors more confidence |
